Mr. Rose!

Tomorrow is my beloved husband's birthday. And Saturday is our anniversary. We've been together 33 years. Holy shit--I'm OLD!!! No, no, not that old, I was a child bride. I was 20 17 12 9...I was a youthful 25. *koff* Actually, I did worry I was marrying too young at the time, which was weird because to the rest of the world, I was kind of old. (Those were the Dark Ages, full of really stupid people as opposed to now-a-days. These days, the world is full of stupid, socially accepted racist-asshole-bigots. But that's a post for another day.)

So, 33 years later and it's weird, really weird, that you can know someone that long and get just as much pleasure out of looking at them, touching them, hearing them laugh, as you did the very first time. He makes me feel like a pretty cool person, makes me feel cute. :)

Happy Birthday, my darling Mr. Rose! And thanks for marrying me, that was a good idea that worked out really well--for me at least! *bigcheesygrin*

We're coming up on 22 years and it's increasingly unbelievable. At some point soon HALF my life with him.

I wish you the best day and many more years with your man. :)

I'll fix that for you, 15..14 1/2

The difference is that now we can see their asshole-ish ways via social media instead of one-on-one. I guess that's progress (?)

And it's a blessing and a treasure.

Happy birthday to Mr. Rose!

Congratulations!!! You are so lucky to have found your other half. I love hearing about happily married people. The best day of my life was the day I met my husband, but sometimes I feel like I'm part of a very small minority.

Here's to another 33 wonderful years and big b-day wishes to Mr. R.

Hey, happy birthday to your man, The Man!

(Although, frankly, I hope he kind of stays away from lj. Maybe this post is okay, but, knowing this crowd of awesome weirdos you've accumulated, you'd still probably better censor some shit here--delicate male constitution and all that. I hear they faint a lot at women-things. Is that true? XD)

Also, LOVE YOU! Congratulations on having, from all indications, impeccable taste, hon! Here's to 33 more years of marital bliss, you whippersnapper of a 16 year old!

Happy anniversary!! Marrying in the early-mid 20's used to be the norm, but now I think people wait longer. I married Becca's dad at 23 and he was 30. While we're no longer married, we're still really close, which makes me happy :-).

ETA: Happy birthday to him, too!!!

We're at 34 years now, sweetie. I was 22 and Lee was 20 when we got married. It's still so wonderful to be married to my best friend. We still get just as sappy with each other now as we ever did. I'm so glad that you were lucky enough to find your heart with Mr Roxy like I did with Lee. :)

As for the not so thinly veiled bigotry floating around out there right now, it sickens me, more and more all the time. Would any of these idiots be calling for our president to prove his citizenship still, after almost four freaking years, if he were white?

*hugs you so hard*
