Sniffles

I'm watching the Buffy ep "The Body" and the beginning is just as heartbreaking as it was the first time I watched it.

It's been a good Sunday, just doing some reading and some light (extremely light) cleaning, watching the Buffy marathon on SyFy, spending some quality time with Mr R. ♥

That episode still gets me, I think it always will. They break my heart, all of them, especially Buffy and Anya *sniff*

I love that ep. So, sad and the acting was stellar. The only one I caught yesterday was the last half of Hush. I forgot how damned creepy The Gentlemen were. Gah.

Ah, I missed that one, but I did catch several others. That slo-mo battle at the end of The Wish rips my heart out every damn time. That's truly a perfect scene - the music, the pace, the unwitting tragedies. Hush is never not scary either, as well as funny as hell at the same time. Love you BUFFY!!

I watched most of the BtVS marathon on Syfy. It was great, wasn't it? Every ep that came on, I said, Oh, this is a good one! They showed a lot of the best eps. I'm thinking about pulling out the dvds--it's been a while.

Friday, I turned 40. 40 didn't bother me. Saturday, I went shopping with my Mom. We ate lunch at a place with a bar, which had a biggish notice that anyone who was born after that date in 1992 would not be served alcohol. The first time someone called me "Ma'am" was in 1992. (Also, the year the Buffy movie was released). That bothered me some. Sunday, I watched a big chunk of the marathon. After Spike's "You'll never be friends" speech in "Lovers' Walk," I said to myself, "That's been 15 years ago." *That* made me feel old. :)

OMG, yes! Although, I wish someone would shut Joyce's eyes. I don't know how she did that so well, but it creeps me out every time I see the ep.

I've been wanting to do another rewatch for a while, now, and this post has pushed me that much closer.

Some favorite episodes I'm dying to see - Once More with Feeling, Tabula Rasa, Hush, and that episode where Buffy kicks the Council's collective asses and makes them reinstate Giles as her Watcher. Ooo, also the one where they become their Halloween costumes (where Buffy is a damsel in distress and Oz in fascinated by Willow). And, and...eeps...soooo many good episodes.

Must rewatch.
