Show.

the last few weeks, actually. I'm not sure exactly where I am, thoughts-wise. I kind of tumble back and forth with feelings. I think it's a good thing--every review I read, I find myself shifting a bit this way, a bit that way. Basically, I've reached the point where I feel enormous sympathy for Sam. I think I get where he's coming from. You know I love Dean (it's a little creepy how much) but Sam has a point--many points, and Dean will survive. If he gets out of his self-centered funk, he'll see what Sam is trying to say, and Sam isn't saying he wants Dean out of his life, not at all.

It's weird how different old eps read when you've watched a new episode. Sympathy kind of bounces around, plus there are parts I watch and only now realize what the intent of a scene might have been. I'm HORRIBLE at figuring out what's going on. I tend to just look at the surface, or misunderstand completely, or miss subtle clues. That's why I can endlessly rewatch and always find something new.

This Show of Ours, my stars! So much bickering this week, all mobs and torches, flaming effigies, heads on pikes, sobbing in corners...all for a show that's been on the air 9 seasons! How many long running shows can boast of getting that kind of reaction so late in the day? Not bad, right?

Sorry, what? I got distracted by Jensen's come hither face.

Not bad at all. :) I love that, nine seasons in, we're all still so passionate and affected and indignant and joyful and heartbroken and squeeful.

Show! Boys!

There is that. It certainly provokes discussion . . . debate, screaming matches . . . and that's good thing. Mostly :P

I have never been this invested in a show.

I agree. The more I think about it, the more I understand what Sam said and why he said it. They have got to move beyond the destructive co-dependence.

Oh, show. I will love you til the bitter end.

Yes, not bad at all. You are so right. There aren't that many shows that people are so passionate about after so many years into the story, and that's a good thing. A great thing.

BOYS!

Absolutely agree with everything you just said. Except for the being aware of the hooha being caused still since I decided to steer clear of fandom hangouts to save myself some stress. But good to know! Especially since I recently came across a comment that said the show was boring and same old same old and I thought, indignantly, eh??! - are we watching the same show?! - as it turns out, they stopped mid s7, so really, grrr.

Like I said, I was a mite indignant.

This show is freaking amazing. Brave storytelling in so many ways. Like you said, they sure as hell ain't limping along to the finish line. And the attention to detail - it's not fanservice, you definitely get the sense that the people involved are fully committed in the SPN world. So much love :)
