I was tagged by the lovely digitalwave and the lovely firesign10 for a writing meme: Ze Challange Grande is to pull seven lines from the seventh page of your WIP. Then you're supposed to tag seven other writers.

Here's a bit from my pet WIP. I work on it from time to time when I'm feeling desperate. :)

"Bastard. Get off of me—"

"Mike, leave him alone," Jen frowned. "He's not interested."

"Hey—me either, I was just kidding. Wait - are you—you're gay?" He fixed JT with a shocked look and then drew his eyes over Jen's arms around his neck. "Are you guys —"

Jen jumped back, a look of disgust on his face. "Hell no, don’t be stupid. You know I'm not - JT's not -"

JT looked Mike right in the eyes, said, "Yeah, I am. But Jen's just a friend, my best friend since grade school. That's all."

There was a rush of horrified babble - JT figured that this was it, the end of his high school career. He looked around; he was alone.


Feel free to ignore, ladies, but it might be fun!

“The key if you will.” Kane crossed his arms, standing over Jared. “I want those chains off the boy now.

“Tahmoh, you heard the Captain.”

Tahmoh shoulder his way past the shuffling slaves and hauled Jared bodily to his knees, bending down he quickly unlocking the cuffs.

“What about the barb?” Tahmoh tugged on one of the leather straps disappearing between Jared’s arse cheeks and looked up at Simon.

“Leave it for the Alternus to remove. And grab up that silver coin for me.” Simon’s voice was smug with satisfaction and Jared shivered in dread.

Well, you know I only have the one wip :P What counts as the 7th page? The 7th page of the current episode? (I'm not sure I've written 7 pages yet . . . ) or the 7th page of the pilot episode?

Dean looked at the sky, faint shafts of silver-grey light coming through the cloud-cover. North was too risky. South it was, a long route down and around, avoiding the glassine plain that had been Kansas, cutting through the top of New Mexico to Oklahoma. Pueblo land – Tribe. Dean was pretty sure, at some point, that there had been more than one tribe. That being of this tribe or that had been a point of pride. But there was just one, now, and he wasn't in it.

They knew him, though.
