Hmmmm...I'm not sure what their point is going to be, but I'm willing to go with it. A good ep--one point of unhappiness that I'm waiting for other folks to weigh in on. My feeling overall--a little too much shorthand in regards to moving the story along, a few cute moments, but Sam--wow!

Totally agreed. There really was a lot going on -- possibly too much for a mere forty-odd minutes -- but like you, I'm willing to wait and see where it's all going. The scenes between Mary and her boys were perfection, particularly the dinner sequence and her later encounter with Sam. And Dean poring over his collection of old photos, well, he broke my heart a little LOT.

Also? I'm never gonna say "no" to Shirtless!Sam -- even if it was only a hallucination. ;)

What is your point of unhappiness?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. A good episode, it really was. I'm pleased at Mary being bad-ass, I'm so very verklempt over the Sam/Mary scene at the end.

But i'm *frustrated*. I really get tired of Sam and Dean 'losing' fights so plots can move forward. I'm tired of Sam and Dean (but Sam, omg, wow) having fucking trauma on trauma and Show never letting them work through it, or even react. VERY FRUSTRATED.

And the opening scene was pretty nasty. Can we *not* have Sam being nearly-raped ever again? (Or raped, as he thought they had sex.....GAH)

I still liked it. Still love Show. But damnit.

I feel like they rushed through a lot of important stuff. I guess Sam should have expected Dean to come back(they always do) but his Mom? Don't you think he would have chalked it all up to the hallucination torture and would have had to be convinced they were real?

Was it just me and my advanced age or was a lot of the dialogue hard to understand? It seemed muffled or too fast or something.

I did love the end scene with Sam and Mom, but Sam/Mom hug(as awesome as it was) does not equal Sam/Dean hug!
