I've decided that I'm fandom Kryptonite. Whenever I friend someone in a fandom, usually under a month, they've skipped the old fandom and gone on to a new one. I believe I might have been responsible for the mass migration of SV writers to SGA...sorry about that. Now while this is a tragedy for my wanna be reading my flavor-of-fic self, I've met wonderfully nice people who stay friended to me even after they wander off to greener pastures. This in turn made me realize that while I'll friend someone for really good stories, the really good writers are also very interesting, funny, *nice* people--or maybe I'm just really lucky in that way.

Come closer, I've got candy. Just to show my appreciation and my fondness for you....

i remember when everyone took off for SGA, and then SPN, and then i was outta there and i don't even know what happened. but i'm an awful flibbertigibbet and gad around fandoms like a ho.

sometimes I wish I wasn't so mono-fandom. It's too sad when everyone leaves. It's *hard* for me to shift fandoms too. Look how long I wrote SV! And I still want to write it from time to time but on my terms--Whit/Clark, Lucas/Lex, stuff like that. When no one's in the pool you can swim anyway you like!

And btw, thanks for making me crave Chunkys--ha! Like chocolate and nuts aren't bullets to my grumpy old intestinal tract. *pouts*

how do see the sv fandom responding to the end of the series? i've been in several fandoms that were for shows/movies that had been over for quite some time, and there was still a lot to be worked out via fiction. (i loved writing bits of erotica for stephen colbert in Strangers with Candy, about 2 years ago!)

sorry about the chunky lust. i tried to find one at the store today with zero luck. not sure they even make them any more.

I think the SV fandom has been dying for a long time. I'm not sure how the end of the series will affect it, but I'm not looking for great things anymore. I do remember Boondock Saints was a pretty active fandom when I came into This Thing of Ours, and that movie had been out for quite a long time. Great stuff--lots of incestuous brother stuff, you know how I roll.

the temptation is there! but i'm also going to become a grandmother for the first time this summer, so i figure, fuck it. i'll just look old!
