Football!

So I did that football thing yesterday, that Superbowl thing, which turned out not as horrible as I thought it would be. Ya'll know I'm a spoiled little princess, right? No, really, hard to believe I know, but there you have it, so anyhoo, I was feeling under the weather, and when we arrived, I got spoiled even worse than you can imagine. I got a fluffy blanket and a glass of ginger ale and lots of hugs. I'd feel bad about that, but it's not in the Princess Handbook.

So, a team won, and it was an exciting engagement, I believe. I came away from the event with these thoughts--Tom Brady's straight? Riilly? Some of those guys had extremely nice posteriors, which Mr R was quick to point out was padding in that adorably oh so catty way he has, but please--Yer Mother can tell from padding. MIA--what did anyone think was going to happen? Madonna looked pretty good and the show was much less cheesy than I'd expected. All in all, I'd have been happier to stay home and read some Wincest classics but it was...okay. The best part was my niece volunteering to go along and keep me sane company. She's such a good girl. :)

The hosts were more than kind, the food, what I could eat, was good, the game was confusing but mildly entertaining and all in all, it was...what it was, was football. And if you're an old fart like me, you get the last line.

I'm an old fart too, but I admit, I had to look up the quote. Andy Griffith? Really? Huh.

You know, I've never been roped into any sort of participation with the Superbowl, but just yesterday, in the empty stores and on the empty streets, I was wondering what it might be like. Doesn't sound that bad, really.

I hope you're over the weather again soon.

Look at you, being all mildly sociable. :) Hope you're feeling better today? Mayhaps?

Heh. Brady. He's married to that supermodel, isn't he? Yeah, I could maybe see them being each other's beard. Too damn good-looking, that couple.

So, if you watched the game, did you see my boy score that TD for the Pats in the first half--my former lab partner, Danny Woodhead (yes, yes, poor boy and his name)? He also got a lot of rushing yards, so even though the Pats lost--W00thead did well. He's a nice guy. I was also upset on his behalf cos one of the announcers at one point called him a smurf. WTF, dude?

*sigh* Anyway, so that's done. Time to do me some writin'. Et tu? *waggles eyebrows hopefully*

Hi, Roxy! Glad you could see the game though the outcome was not to my liking. :(

And I believe that Tom is bi at the very least! ;)

Have you read The QB 'Verse by [livejournal.com profile] rhythmsextion? It sort of made me love football. Crazy, right?

I thought the game was freaking awesome! And my team won! Although, honestly, I root for the Giants because my brother and father do. It's kind of a family team. :)

I bought Football for Dummies to write my FNL J2 fusion fic. My roommate says that because I invested actual money into the plot of that story, I have to write that instead of the "pleasure house" idea I was brainstorming. :(
