Does anyone else's dog need a floor show before they'll eat? Weird ass dog.

I feel distant and not so friendly lately. Do I seem different? I don't know...I'm here, but I'm not here. I'm writing everyday, but not liking it much. I need something but I'm not sure what it is.

Don't you *hate* that?

Hrmmmmmmmm...you don't seem *quite* as happy to me. Which sucks. I want my Roxy happy!
*does floor show for you*

I dunno, Ms. Thang - midlife crisis? Restless and bored? Need a career change?
You know i'll do anything you ask...
*hugs you hard*
*smooches you all up*

How can you not know what is missing?! It is *me*! You write every day, but do I get an e-mail? No. Do I tell you how incredibly fucking good you are? No. See, it's all about me.

You need a laugh. Like seeing Tom Cruise dropping it like it's hot.

But other than that, it happens. It'll past. There's just sometimes when those feelings well up in inside of us ::hugs you::

I totally understand, cause I get that way too sometimes. I want something, I need something. I usually try to fill the void by shopping. It doesn't work, but I get new stuff, and that's always a good thing. ;)

While my dog doesn't quite need the floor show, she will not eat any doggy treats (cookies) unless I've licked them first. Dunno why...but if I've gotta lick dog cookies then damn it I'm buying the peanut butter flavored ones. They're the only ones that actually taste like they say on the package.

As for the restlessness and distant feelings, maybe just taking a day for you and Mr. Roxy and having a "Just Us Day" where you go out, picnic, walk the dog at the park. Just a general spend the day outside kind of day. I find that helps a lot, that and leaving all the windows open to air out the house while I'm gone. :)

Hope you're feelin better.

and I'll try that Outdoor Day--Mr. Roxy loves the outdoors, I view the great outdoors with a degree of...erg. But I do love him so...*grin* It could be very nice!

*raises eyebrow* What kinda floor show we talkin' about?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2006-05-06 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
I have to say, "time to eat"--and he bows, and then I have to go to his bowl and tap the floor and say, "time to eat" again, and then he dances into the room and follows me back out of the room when I leave and then I have to point to the door and say "food, noel, go eat!" and then I guess he finally bleieves me and eats. I swear, it gets more and more elaborate, he keeps training me to add more steps to the meal time ritual.
I draw the line at singing, though!

my maltese won't eat unless I watch her. She picks up every peace bit by bit and has to throw it around a bit before munching :(

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It's so weird, isn't it? And he doesn't do it to anyone but me. Why is that? Does he know that despite the fact I tell him we're not friends, he knows I'm a sucker?
