I agree with most of what you say. But maybe they think he's an ass for staying away when he wants to be with Lex. And Jordan doesn't think he's stupid for staying away from Lex, he thinks Clark is stupid for suggesting Jordan is in love with Lex.

we know that Clark couldn't stay with a man who killed someone for no matter what reason. but Clark in the future, a not Superman Clark, might have talked himself into justifying Lex's crime. for the purpose of my story, that's what I'm going with. And I don't see that they're ragging on Clark, and sparing Lex. I think we're just seeing more of Clark's interaction with others. Plus he's more emotinal, more open than Lex. *koff* and maybe sometime, I just get too close to Clark. *koff*
