I forgot to mention that I *loved* that after all he's been through himself, it was the threat to Clark that unleashed his powers. And this was, by the way, a beautifully written if completely painful-to-read chapter. And when I wondered if Clark could save him, I guess what I really meant was, can Clark even call him back to himself?, or is his individuality just going to be consumed by his raw power? Wah!
