Hello?
Hey, folks! Does anyone want to pimp their stuff to me? Come on, tell me what you've been doing--let me take a look! *be all nosy and curious*
You know, once I finish Deal--I'm done! All stuff done, finished, cleaned up pretty much. Some little things that need to be cleaned up, a fic that needs to be finished, but I'll probably do that *not* on LJ. And you know what I'm going to do after that? NOTHING! that's right, not a damn thing. I realized I've been working on something all the time since oh, 2004, thereabouts? If I was getting pelf for this, I'd be a one rich bitch!
And speaking of Deal--let me offer you guys who've stuck with it a big hug and an aspirin. I know it's been a difficult story to like, but it warms my heart how many of you have given it a shot. That's really pretty cool.
I felt like doing something a little different, and I felt like having a little fun. In fact, I've had a lot of fun writing it. Mind you, when I say I had fun writing a story, that doesn't mean I didn't cry tears of blood or take to my bed with an aching ego. I scream, I curse, I kick the table and frighten the dog. It's my mode of writing. Most of the time it works fairly well, and when it's all done, and the screaming is over, I nearly always think, my that was fun!
And this is how the species manages to survive--a wise God makes us forget most of the pain and agony of childbirth. (stories, babies--same thing--you just don't have to send one of them to college).

sv_awardz I think it's pretty cool and I'm so flattered but the other people nominated in the categories I'm in pretty much assure that I'm out of it. *pout*
Once, I won something--tickets to see a Sherlock Holmes movie--The Seven Per Cent Solution. That was a good, good movie--oh, wait! I also won a jar of M&M's at work last year. Guess who had a gazillion friends *that* day?
Who knows? Maybe my winning streak will continue, *snorfle* Anyhoo, congrats and great big squeezy hugs to everyone who was nominated. I will personally visit every winner and plant a great big sloppy (virtual) kiss on them. And I'll wear lip balm the flavor of your choice! *beams*

I also read Boys of Summer this past week!! Roxy!!! I fell in love with Sam all over again. And Whit broke my heart all over again! It's such a twisty, windy, sweet and hurty story. I love that story! The end was such a love fest, it can't help but leave you hollowed out and happy. I'm so glad you finished it, sweetie.

You write. It's a must. I click on you ALL the time. Your stories are many, your writing is ALWAYS intriguing, your characters are compelling and charming, your plots are sometimes crazy ass but Roxy, that's called ENTERTAINMENT! I adore your stories and I think you have an incredible gift for pulling in your readers from the get-go.
So go ahead and catch up. Read the other talents around you. Then sit your butt down and write something for your legions of fans. I can't accept your retirement. You're too good to hang it up.
