because you're you, I'm going to take your word for it and give it ago because traditionally anything on the Sci-Fi channel is just a step up from public access TV.
They've slowly improved a bit over the years with the movies. The miniseries are very good: Dune, Children of Dune, Taken, BSG, Farscape Peacekeeper Wars, The Triangle, The Lost Room etc.
I wonder just how long it could maintain as a series, but as a mini-series it was brilliant, very different and so well done. They may have employed a b-list of actors, but man, they really knocked it out of the park!

SciFi seems to do so much better on their series than on their movies, so I've been looking forward to it. :)
