Labyrinth (is that what it was?)
Loved it right up until the end, which was written by twelve year old fan-girls. Must they keep beating that dead rotten, decayed effing horse? How dare they make us believe that Stickie is the reason my boys come to hate each other? What a stupid idea. Even I wouldn't write it that way, and I *suck* for logic! I mean, certainly Clark understands that Lex can't be trusted, and that his personal agenda is in the end, dangerous and destructive--but what really gets his knickers in a knot is Lana? "OMFG!!! U took my grl!!!!11" He's 18--19--whatever-he's not 14 anymore. Most guys are all fuck you you creep, and keep going. They grow up and move on.
And Lex. Please. Flaunting Stickie like that, peeing on her leg and stuff. My Lex is not a twelve year old stuck in a grown man's body.
*koff*--aaaaand back to the ep...Thomas did an excellent job. I felt his confusion and longing, his anger at the topsy-turvy world he was in, poor boy! And how horrible for him to see fear in his mother's eyes. Boy, Annette did a good job with that didn't she? Besides looking absolutely fabulous! She was born to be Mrs. Luthor.
Okay, say what you will about her, but I thought Chloe was great in this ep! She does crazy so well—it was creepy to realize that she was actually loosing it bit by bit as she talked to Clark—and to see it on his face, that ‘oh my god’ look…good stuff!
Lex--ah, poor spoiled rotten Lex. Michael does that tear shimmering in the eyes better than anyone, gosh! He once again nailed it for what he was given. It’s possible he pleased me so because I love him so but, wow. He put so much power into those short scene with Thomas. Those two must still enjoy working together, their scenes are so intense, so full of emotion....
On the other hand, in any scene except those with Michael, Stickie is just…boring as hell. She looks uncomfortable talking or touching Clark. How can she have such sex appeal with Lex and be so blaaaaaaagh with Clark? One of life’s mysteries, I suppose, like why do socks disappear in the dryer, and why am I the only one who gets those little hairs caught…but I digress..
Also, Phil Morris? Weeeeeell, I am preparing a plate chock full of my own words in a light cream sauce. The man is wonderful as J’on J’onzz! Jackie Childs who??
So, I put in my vote for this as a fun episode. It didn’t move anything along, it did bring that stupid love thing back, so I imagine we have to suffer through more of that crap, but all in all, a most enjoyable outing!

true, true--my prejudice against her makes me want to lay all the blame at her feet, I guess.

The AU just made an odd sort of sense that the real show *doesn't*.

I'd love to read a fic like this, where Clark is institutionalized for making up his world. It'd be cool.
And dude omg what would you have done if Sarah Michelle Gellar was just chilling in the background somewhere?!?!

And I know a lot of people are mentioning Buffy (who were not by any means the first to do such a scenario) but I never really liked that ep of Buffy, I thought they made it too esoteric, I liked SV's take on it much better.

I kind of liked that Buffy ep, even though I admit to screaming like a banshee because they didn't put it to bed all nicely tucked in and explained--but that was also why I liked that episode.
and on the other hand,(always an other hand) I liked that they didn't do that to us with this SV episode.

TW and MR did an awesome job!! They both were so emotive and convincing in the crazy world!!!! Phil Morris totally rocked too!!! Yay for J'on J'onzz!!!!
And yes, quite an enjoyable outing!
But, can I PLEASE kill Lana?? Pretty please with a cherry on top??

WORD.
Of course, I was pretty underwhelmed by S6 as a whole. Also, S4 and what I saw of S7. :points to icon:

My money's on Lex beating you to it. Not too long after the Spawn is born, in fact.

I just wanted to cuddle poor Clark through the whole thing in the asylum. He looked so cute when he was confused and distressed.
Lex! Oh, poor, poor Lexie! Why must he always be the one beat up, tied up, or injured. :(
Lana in the asylum with Clark looked so fake, and that little head nod to the doctor... just made me think she was up to something evil. When she said about Clark's destiny being with her, all I could think was that's damnation, not a life. :P
I honestly knew nothing about J'on before he was in Static and only learned a bit about him after that. After tonight... I may just have to do some major research. ;)

And Clark was so amazing I went selectively blind everytime he was on screen. The only thing I could see was him!

I'm snickering at that, but I kind of want to cry.
