So, I'm off to Florida this weekend. Mr. Roxy's baby brother lives there. Baby Brother is not doing so well, so we're going to hold hands, share some love. This one is my favorite. He was just a little baby when I first met him--16 and so sweet, and he's never changed through the years. He's always been a sweetheart. It hurts that he's not one hundred per cent, but we're all thinking positively, and he'd a strong guy. Plus his wife is scary as hell, so I know he's getting the very very best care. *g*

There is the little matter of a plane ride...*sobs quietly and tries to appear brave* I wish I had some real good drugs for that.

Hope Baby Brother a speedy recovery. I hope your flight is smooth sailing. I can relate to the wish for good drugs. I'm planning on my first cross-country flight in 20 years this summer. I plan to go see my sis in San Diego, and I'll be damned if I take Amtrak again. I don't even know if there is a train to San Diego. I took Amtrak to SF in 2001 before the shit hit the fan. I didn't like flying way before 9/11. But I've come to the conclusion I can't waste 4 days of my vacation on the freaking train. I'll take my chances in the air, although I am going to look in to being heavily medicated for the flight :)
Have a safe trip. Enjoy your family and stay clear of the scary wife.

I took a train from New Jersey to Oregon a few years ago. It was a long couple of days, but I needed to be alone so much at that time, that it was a good thing. I remember it fondly. But if I hadn't needed the solitude, I might not have been so happy with it. *g* Good luck on that flight of yours. I plan to act like a big giant baby, myself.
