Oh, poor Whitney. His world is about to implode, I can feel it. I think he is right about how Lex seems to be attached to him, even caring, but refuses to verbalize it. He is confirming it like Lex always does, through action. He even shared his personal Clark/cave angst with Whit. It may have pissed him off, but Lex shared. The time is coming however that Lex will break Whit's heart by not keeping him, by sending him away.
