I'm working on East of the Sun, and also reading The Arrangement, by

bittermint her novel! It's very *very* good, an original work that uses the premise of her Clark/Lex/Chloe story that omg, I loved so much and this? Is even better!! I love the way she reworked the characters--I find them even more compelling now...not that I've told her this yet, geez, I'm talking to you guys about it first, hah! I'm just really enjoying it.

Insane Journal is down and I'm kind of upset because I was posting the SpN story I was working on there. Not that I've lost it, it just helps me to write it, seeing it posted. I don't know why. Plus, I like having another place to drop my stories.

Here's something very odd about me lately. I've been really backpedaling from writing the nasty stuff--why is that, I wonder? I feel like I used to write the nasty stuff...did I? Or am I mistaken? Have I always been a wuss? I mean, that Alex/Wade scene--I completely rewrote that and softened the whole thing. *grabs your lapels* OMG--am I getting weak in my old age? What's wrong with me???

I'm so behind and screwed up on my friends list, I have no idea which way to go and I know I lost updates. I'll just have to stalk you guys.

Also, I'm feeling much better. And I love you, you know who you are. *SHMOOCH* I do! I'm stopping here so I don't have to do an LJ cut. :)

oh, i don't think backing off a bit equates being a wuss. i'm reading less hard-core slash than i used to. we go in cycles, maybe, and we all evolve over time. if i were you, i'd trust my instincts!

Hmm never nasty, just....interesting :D I haven't read any Clex in ages, I've been all about dark Doctor/Master lately lol. I should probably catch up on some Clex soon though, what is East Of The Sun about?

Nah... you're not getting weak. Your stories have just as much impact with or without all the gory details. And sometimes, less details lets the imagination run wild, which can make the situation scarier.

East of the Sun is a major shmoop fest, don't even worry--but if you love me, you'll pass me some links to good Master/Doctor fics because that's been a favorite pair of mine since I was a wee Roxy. :)

Oh, I know that it's better to leave the stuff to the imagination, I know that a lot of times that makes it even more horrible but I miss it, I do. I liked writing awful things. *sigh* I guess I'll just have to move on. It's that way in real life too. I used to be so scary, and now, I'm just a fat little round ball of grandmotherly-ness. No fucking wonder I'm depressed!!

Say, speaking of SpN, How about The Road Goes Ever On? I'm enjoying that one.

I haven't posted my SpN fic here because it's very much a rough work in progress, the end is iffy and I'm not sure how to weave the two different parts of the story together--let me get a little further along in Dean's story and I'll start posting here. I'll send you a snippet of Sam's story if you like.

shmoop has its place. and i get that about wanting to please people. (my lj changed as i got more readers -- i stopped feeling as free to say things that might offend, e.g., the eastern orthodox bishop on my list! i've sort of freed myself up again, but i had to think about it.)

And versaphile generally has fic set during the year that never was, and her fic is very dark torture fic. I *really* like the Game Series. But the Master is evil genuis in that fic heh. Poor Doctor. Victorian Gothic is supposed to be very good too, but I haven't got around to reading that one yet.
