So, last year, I started noodling around with a ficlit based on an m-preg I wrote a few years ago, I was trying to write it for a friend. *hangs head*. I was pawing through my SV File Of Mostly Dead Fic recently and took it out to look at--not too shabby. I know I said I would never do an m-preg again, and I won't because I don't have a lot to say about boys birthing babies. But I liked all the OCs in that story, and I wanted to write something featuring them. And I'm kind of playing around with the idea of an unfaithful Lex. He was soooooo damn faithful in those two stories...the yatz.

What do you think? Would Lex be unfaithful if he was in a relationship? If any of you read Ripley, would that Lex or Clark be unfaithful?

I think Lex is a serial monogamist by nature. he's too needy of someone to just *love* him to risk cheat on them when he finally finds one.

Hmmm. Somehow I just can't see either Lex or Clark being unfaithful if they were in a relationship. I can see Lex sleeping around if he isn't paired up. That's canon. But cheating on someone? No. Can't picture Clark fooling around either.

I don't think Lex does the cheating thing. Clark might, IF his biological drive needed him to go get another egg, or if he were on Red K and there was a hottie RIGHT THERE. (or if it's S6 Clark, you know he wants a harem of Lana, Chloe, Lois, and Lex anyway) I mean, if the show can mind whammie, you can. Just don't do it too much, or we'll slap you with fishes!

Yeah--even though I like writing Clark as a slut, I can't see him cheating really--but I see Lex cheating even less.

I don't think Clark would cheat. He's too honorable, caring and loving for that. And if he were on redK, then he wouldn't technically be responsible for the cheating, even though he'd blame himself, of course.
Lex could cheat if, maybe, he were drunk. But then again he'd have that excuse.
I think one of them could see the other in a certain situation and believe, or be led to believe, that there was cheating involved, even when that was not really the case. That might work for the angst. :)

I think that also people might encourage him to cheat. You'd get Lana try to shake her booty in front of him just because she's Lana and then there are all those Superman groupies like people he rescues Then there are all those people at the Justice League who want him that way: Green Arrow, Batman, the Flash, etc. And for me, it's more a case of how has more opportunities and who has the hair since pretty hair= everybody loves you no matter how crazy you are in the SV!verse. And then Clark would never be blamed for cheating on Lex by people other than Lex.

I never saw Lex as the cheating type. As someone wiser than I said once, Lex puts all his emotional eggs in one basket, giving that one relationship precedence over almost all things. I can see him risking it for something beyond him- like his search for the truth, for example- but I can't see him taking the chance for physical gratification.

Heck, it seems like he was even faithful to Victoria!

It killed me to know Clark was out there screwing around (and Lex) when they were apart in Ripley. Cheating on each other while they're together? Complete and total heartbreak.

I don't see either of them as cheaters and any story that has it happening - I hate it. :-(

As you know i love m-pregs. And i love the thought of Lex straying, leaving a broken and pregnant Clark behind. I love the thought of Clark moving on and then Lex realising what he'd done doing everything in his power to win Clark back.

I have to agree with everyone else. I don't see them as cheaters, but if you wrote them that way...I'd totally be down for reading it!

Those two are serial monogamous, but I think there are certain people that might cause a whole heaping of strain between them, i.e. Lana and Lucas.

I can see it in the Ripley verse since they were so bumpy getting together in the first place and there were definitely jealosuy issues with Jordan. Love to see Jordan and Ripley again, myself.

I could only see Lex cheating if he was angry enough. If Clark was already convinced he did, and was being his usual self-righteous self, then I could see he being all "Fuck it, I am already being punished, might as well". That would be some fantastically twisted, angry, heartbreaking sex.

I don't think I could see Lex being unfaithful. He's had to work too hard to get Clark to begin with, I don't think he'd risk it.

Clark, as he is on the show, I could actually see cheating. Though, I couldn't see him in a relationship with Lex anyways because he wouldn't be able to make up his mind to. Clark, in general, I don't think would unless caused by external forces like ladydreamer mentioned.

i don't think lex would cheat. like so many others have already stated, he would have had to work too hard to get clark to throw it away. look how long he hung in there with lionel.yes,he killed him,but-not the same as cheating. as for clark, look how he's like a dog with a bone with lana in sv. he wouldn't cheat either once he finally got a clue and realized lex was the one

I agree, I think they both have lovability issues. Neither one of them really believe they're worth devotion, (for different reasons) I think. I think it's very possible that they might come to mistakenly believe the other was cheating...and that's a pretty darn good idea! *G*

Ok... I've thought it over a bit more. If Clark was truly in love with his partner, I don't see him cheating. But if there were doubts, maybe he would. But then again... he did stay with Hamsterina Lana all this time. He just couldn't decide if he really wanted to be with her or not. :P

i just finished part two and LOVED it, the whole thing. in MY ending of the story, jordan moves in with clark and lex after lexie gets married and moves out, and they form a very stable threesome. as do ripley and greg and irving. (i rather have the hots for irving.)

Oh thank you!! I'm so thrilled that you liked the second one! It was a lot different than the first, but it's my favorite too. I'd LOVE to have Jordan move in with them, but Lex kind of offers and steps back...I don't know whats going to happen.

I'm also sooooo pleased you like Irving! I love Irving! He's one of the few non-loony characters that I'm really fond of.
