I was like, all prepared to be sniffly and sad and all at the end of the ep... but it was so anti-climatic that I didn't even realize it was the end. :P
But ohhhh..... didn't Lex just look so yummy, and delicious, and downright lickable in the lighting at the Fortress. ;D
He looks awesome there but that picture always makes me feel claustrophobic.I guess we're supposed to feel uneasy and think "Lex is backed into a corner."
I am still processing his departure...I have to say though, I'm very annoyed that they didn't lure him back but lured AM back. What the fuck. He should have been offered her salary on top of his just to get Lex freakin' Luthor back for the last seasons.
I've always enjoyed Chloe but I have to say--I hate where they have here going lately. Clark needs to *not* listen to her, because what she's saying to him lately smacks of Lionel--and Lex. As for the show itself, Lex's story line was just beginning but I don't think the CW understood that.
While I think it's weird he's in an alcove, he's the hottest thing to ever sit in an alcove, so I'm cool with it.
I'm going to miss him a lot. :( I liked the ending actually... Even if his story is/was just beginning, I think that that was our Clex climax (hee!). I still wish we'd gotten more from Clark's side, but Lex was, IMO, perfect (as always)!
And I agree with you on Chloe recently. She's been very Luthoresque in her morality... But they seemed to have dropped back from it this week.
That's funny; I had the exact same reaction. Wow, poor Lex: somebody made him go sit in the corner. Or alcove, to be exact. At least there's a nice chair in the alcove. For some reason. (I guess Lex gets told to sit there a lot?) And I have to grant that he's wearing it well; few people could sit in an alcove with such dignity and presence. But still. The dude's in a weensy little alcove, by himself, facing a wall. He's been placed there almost as if he's a potted plant. And while it's true that having Lex Luthor sitting in one's alcove would add a great deal of character to any room, so I have to admire the decorator's choices there, I can't help but feel bad for the guy. Couldn't somebody at least give him a book?
It's like the weirdest picture ever. Well, not ever, but it's definitely weird. Like you said, he looks darn good doing it, but why is he there? Who put him there? It *does* have a potted plant vibe.
