[livejournal.com profile] daisydumont got me all nostalgic and now I'm listening to Marvin Gaye clips at the youtube. Wow, that man was something else. He was the definition of sexy back then. We used to talk about him like we knew him. Pretty much like I do now with my TV boyfriends. :)
I don't think anyone today sounds like Marvin, or can make you feel like Marvin could. He had something special. See, this is what Yer Mother listened to back in the day. Yeah. Don't ask what she was wearing.

Look, this is for the old heads--enjoy!

and this song right here is responsible for lots and lots of babies. ;)

I love Marvin.
It makes me so sad to think about his death. So senseless!
So fucked up.

Don't ask what she was wearing.

I know whatever it was, it was TOUGH! Couldn't tell you nothing.

Marvin Gaye will always be THE MAN.

His music, along with Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandross regardless of age--always resonates.

oh, he was so handsome! and watch him work that crowd!

i was wearing bellbottoms and tie-dye, probably. always was a wannabe-hippie, me.

....just consulted wikipedia. i didn't know he was from DC! interesting history, but such a very sad death.

"Sexual Healing" came out when I was ten or so - I'd never heard anything so sultry!

"Sexual Healing" would be perfect for a Lexcentric vid.

This is the type of music I listen to at work when they piss me off. It helps to relieve my mind. :)
