*CRYING*

You see these tears? You know why I'm crying? Because Smallville was so good tonight, it made me cry tears of joy. It was good damn it. Sure, the time-line was screwy, sure they were retconning like a mother fucker but it was beautiful, and Davis...omg! I was impressed! And Clark and TESS!!! And of course, the oblique references to the Clex, all recognize.

*sigh* It was like...the best sundae ever. And did I mention Thomas was the face of the sun?

It's so hard to say...I came to the show through fanfic, so I kind of liked it before I saw it if that makes sense. And then I watched for the next couple of years, appalled at how much it sucked--SV is a show that never let canon, or logic, stand in it's way if the story demanded it. Plus, there was the problem of me being SO COMPLETELY into the idea of Clex, that it was hard not to watch, waiting for the moment when Lex would finally sweep Clark into his arms and kiss, big sunset, the end--yeah. Doofus. I just hated the canon pairing on the show so much, and various things happened that made my brain hurt. But! Visually, it's a *stunning* show, they've always paid wonderful attention to that, the actors are all incredible to look at, omg, so incredible. When the show is on it's mark, it can be very entertaining, and when it's not, it's so totally not. This latest season, I find it's been on more than it's been off, and that's exciting--and a blessing.

So! Not to scare you off, but it's a show that requires willing participation. *G* The pilot episode is amazing--it is one of the best pilots I've seen. they establish the characters very well that first one. And Clark and Lex are so beautiful, they're blinding in scenes together--really!
