Awww, don't hate on Anna! Clearly I just haven't told you my Anna backstory. So she fell for disobedience, right? Well, wtf did she do? I think she's Dean's daddy. I think she possessed John and passed on some of that Angelic Duty into Dean and also her lust for life and fries and sex and pie to answer Mary's prayers and then she fell so she could hide it and protect Dean, because you know those part angel babies are an abomination! Nephalim! And then she totally does him anyway! Awesome!
Although, I have to say, I liked Bela. I mean, she was a good foil to Dean, I thought (and how 'bout that backstory? OUCH.). I didn't like Jo. Ellen was okay. And I like this season's Ruby just as much as three's, which is to say, moderately. (Although the actress this year is hot like fire, so that's a plus! I got a thing for the brunettes. *winks at TMI*)
Bela--she could have been so cool but they never really developed her until her final ep, really. She shot Sammy, I could never forgive her for that. :( If they'd given her a tiny bit of a soul, I might have liked her more earlier. Same thing with Ruby. The new actress...eh! She's just not my flavor. Even so, I'm always glad when someone says they like the character, so I don't have to feel guilty for not liking them.
Man, the show in your head is so much fucking cooler than Show in RL.
Okay...my thing with Anna? Totally fucking shallow. It's her upper lip. It kind of bothers me. When she's on screen, that's all I can see. And if I imagine Dean kissing it, it makes me think of...well. nothing hot, that's for sure.
I luff him too! I want Sam'n'Dean to kidnap him and make him sit in the back of the Metallicar and write so they know what happens next only, as we saw on Show, the future *can* change, he saw Sam with Lilith but his final draft he would have been struck with the inspiration to make him attack her instead and so he's writing but he keeps editing and he tries to make things better like he has Dean win the lotto or something and then Castiel is all 'stop changing destiny!' and Chuck is all 'what, you want us in jail for fraud?' and then he tries to make the boys talk and they have to sneak around and steal his rough drafts and Dean inserts lots of sex and pranks on Sam and Sam just does *bitchface* and...and...and.... *happy flail*
The Gospel of the Winchesters...I've read a lot of fan fic about that. So all those icons I have about accepting Dean Winchester as my personal Saviour aren't heresy anymore?
I think Bela's character development may have been hosed by the strike. Last season's endings had a whole lot of "WTF, where'd that come from," because most shows ran about 5 episodes short. So on Bones, Zach suddenly has his left field development (if you care what it was, you probably already know) that has everyone scratching their heads and wondering where they can get some of what the writers were smoking. On Supernatural, they suddenly walk into Lilith's endgame, and Bela gets written out on a phone call and a 10 second flashback. What it needs is semi-animated "plot hole" shorts, like the DVD of "Shaun of the Dead." :)
Oh gosh--you're right, I forgot about the strike! Yeah, that makes sense, because I got the feeling that even if the fans for the most part didn't care for Bela, the writers really liked her.
And child, don't even get me started on Zach--strike or not that whole idea *SUCKED*. What it needs is semi-animated "plot hole" shorts,
Plot-hole shorts, eh? Does that mean explainations of WTFery?
Basically. In "Shaun of the Dead" there were a couple of plot holes: a miraculous off-screen escape, a character who just disappears into the ether after wading into a crowd of zombies to beat them to death with her boyfriend's leg, and another character who goes from point A to point B without any explanation. So, in the DVD extras, there are three semi-animated shorts explaining what happened.
