i like spike best as a bit player in a larger story. he's brilliant as comic relief. *g*

my favorite things are the Kin of the Heart/Kin of the Soul series by lit_gal (Kin of the Heart and Kin of the Soul, the sequel), in which spike is a gorgeous element but not the star, and the huge, involving, fun S Curve series by tesla321 (S Curve tag). as usual, i prefer AU to canon. ;)
