I bought it. I read it. I have to say that I was happy with the fact that the vast majority of the book didn't have sex in it. I will agree with the other comment that it did seem a little like a watered down version of Obsidian Butterfly. However, it did resolve two major issues (no spoilers) IMHO. I am not sure where LKH is going with the Anita character, but I know that the next book will have some other big issues to go through with her personal life.
In this book, I felt like LKH was dealing with a necessary issue with Anita, the effect of her personal life on her job as a Marshall. So, while some may read this as woe is me woe is me...I felt that it was a necessary step for the character.
As for Edward, we find some interesting character developments.
Olaf just gets creepier...I didn't know that was possible.
Overall, I bought the book on discount for 18.00, I say it was good for the entertainment value it provided me for the 2 days it took me to read it.
