Rating On Stories

Should I be rating my stories? It's not something that occurs to me to do unless I'm doing a template thingy, andI just kind of assume that we're all old enough here...not pointing any fingers. *eyeballs you all sternly*

If you're not, well, I can't do anything about that.Plus, if you read my journal, than I'm also assuming that coarse language doesn't bother you, cause tcha-fuck, there's a lot of that going on here.(though strangely much less than in RL *goggle*)

You know, home from work, meandering through the brain cells.

I should rate them--yes! I shall! So those of you who know what you want can be forewarned.

Or sit down for a lovely big bowl of pop-porn.

I think your journal is your journal, rate it if you want to, but don't feel like you have to ~ if you feel like posts are sensitive, you can friends lock them. On the other hand, one can't make assumptions about who's adult and who's not, as I've just found out, to my bemusement. Someone on my friends list provided a link to someone else's post of very lovely gay men together, not hard core, not even a lot of nudity, just a lot of sweetness and kissing. i commented on the post, she friended me, i friended her back, then read her profile and discovered she's 16. Um... unless she's an FBI agent posing as a young girl in a sting to catch kid porn sickies. so I'm a little paranoid now. wondering what's my responsibility here ~ should i de-friend her to keep my porny writing out of her little hands? obviously she was corrupted already, and she is very mature, in some ways, for her age, though not in others. I'm just rambling, not really expecting an answer, but you do happen to be the mother of a teenage girl, so i would be interested in your take on this. :)

I am of the opinion that we don't have to put ratings on stuff unless we are putting it somewhere besides our own journals. If it's cut-tagged then don't look at it somewhere you don't wasnt to be caught looking at dirty, pornographic things. Not that that's all we write, but damnit, I don't wanna!
