I've listened to a a shit ton of versions of Wayfaring Stranger, or at least it feels like it. The best version by far is Johnny Cash's. Here's the super creepy thing...I think I like Johnny Cash. SHUT UP SHUT UP. It's probably temporary insanity. Research sometimes leads you into scary places. I've been enjoying poking around a bit, looking for flavor for my million and one SpN fics, hah! I'm not doing heavy research, just enough that it kind of sounds good, y'know? That doesn't mean that I've spent my precious time writing, no...I've been reading lyrics of all kinds of folk songs. Hunh. Weird lyrics, but interesting. and now, I'm off to read some folk tales!

Also, swear to god, shoot me if I ever eat another Reese's Cup. Oy, the pain, the misery, the lactose intolerance making the eating of chocolate a somewhat masochistic activity bordering on self-abuse and in no way the fun kind. :(.

I am sorry your Reese's Cup(s) made you miserable. :(
It is wrong for chocolate to hurt. *nods*

*snickers over the Cash*

*smishes you*

Oh, hon. *slaps candy out of your paws*

Enjoy the "research." *wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more* I myself had to look into some food recipes (Italian, no less) last night, purely for the story, you understand. . . *wink* It's a tough business, but someone's gotta do it. *patpat*

*slaps candy away again*

What's wrong with Johnny Cash? He's awesome.

I grew up listening to Johnny Cash (my Dad) and he still appeals to me. I loved the black album with Trent Rezners Hurt. JC version is so powerful and painful!

Research is weird, I keep expecting someone to make a formal inquiry considering some of the things I've researched in my browser....

Some of Johnny Cash's Live at Folsom Prison recordings are really awesome. The prisoners in the background add a bit of something extra to the sound :)

Johnny Cash's voice is like liquid sex--why should you be ashamed of liking that?

Aww! Mean, mean chocolate.

*hides all Roxy's chocolate to eat later*

*looks around shiftily*

What? I'm just doing it because I care about you. *huggles* ♥

Here's the super creepy thing...I think I like Johnny Cash.

As a person who may or may not have went through a young country phase and who may or may not still have Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Vince Gill mixed cds, I have to say Johnny Cash is terrific and Dean Winchester should definitely listen to more Johnny than AC/DC. Maybe not, Johnny's voice would just make Dean cry more.

Also, swear to god, shoot me if I ever eat another Reese's Cup. Oy, the pain, the misery, the lactose intolerance making the eating of chocolate a somewhat masochistic activity bordering on self-abuse and in no way the fun kind. :(.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. Reese's doesn't know it's own power. It's own delicious power.

I like Johnny Cash's voice. ::nodnodnod:: Except when I like Kris Kristofferson's voice better. Like in The Gambler or Me and Bobby McGee. Johnny Cash is best in The Baron though...

I may possibly like classic country. ::sheepish grin:: Which is where the 'nash' part of my user name came from. ::grin:: I think I was the only teen in Cyprus to like country and my friends called me Nashville which gor shortened to nash.

What's a Reese's Cup and is it worth the pain the misery and all that? ::curious::

Icon in honour of your SpN fic flavouring!
