roxy: (buggy hi)

Hey Everybuggy!

Hi friends!
I'm bored friends, bored to the point of sporking (remember sporks?) my own eyes out. So tell me one thing about yourself. It doesn't have to be anything big, but if you want to shoot some juicy gossip my way, that's cool. Or maybe you need a hug, I can do that too. It won't be as fluffy or cushy as my RL hug, but it also won't have that awkwardness I manage to impart every hug with because I'm never sure how long I should hold on...*koff* so, win/win. Tell me something! I promise not to mock! (unless it's mockworthy, than all bets are off. No judging! No gasping and recoiling in horror!

Help Yer Mother out here. Mind you, I could be washing floors or dusting but I'm counting on ya'll to keep me from that.

*smooooooooch*
*great big hugs*

:)

You can hold on as long as you like, Miss Rose!

A thing about me...um, okay. My mom's favorite story to tell and the Bebe's favorite to hear. When i was about five or six, my brother was playing with a pack of cards - he's four years older - and he did that thing where you kind of bend them and shoot them all over, you know? Cascade of cards all over the floor! And then he turns to me and says 'pick them up!'

And i picked one up off the floor and held it up in his face and ripped it in half and said 'YOU pick them up!'

:)

I just started a liquid diet to prepare me for my lap-band surgery and the only things I can think about right now are Richard Simmons and sandwiches.

Laugh, mock, or rofl: it's totally okay with me.

Hmmm ... one thing. Let's see...*I'm thinking...I'm thinking* Ooooh I get my new car in just over two weeks. It is brand new and shiny and BLUE. Like Clark's favourite colour blue. I hear it goes fast and has lots of pretty buttons in the console to play with. I test drove it once and felt like I was on the Enterprise.

Also (and I know this is more than one...but just to compare with the weather IN THE REST OF THE WORLD) our minimum temperature last night was like 30 degrees celcius - that's like 86 degrees in your part of the world - AT NIGHT. This hot weather can go SUCK IT...I want snow NOW please. I don't care if it has NEVER ever landed here in the history of time...I still want it.

One thing not-about-me: The son is really happy at his new school, so it is about me in the sense that I'm happy he's happy!

:D

*tackles you for old times sake*

PS I posted a meme in my LJ - you should totally avoid housework by doing it :))

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course! If our babies are happy, then Mammas are happy too!

Ooof! *enjoys the tackle*!!

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)

You have to promise not to mock me if I tell you. I've never told anyone (seriously) and I'm still terrifically embarrassed about it. You can laugh, but don't mock. Please.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
My darling! I promise with *all* my heart not to mock you!

Okay.

So, when I was in 11th grade, I was in the play. It was a bad play (a farce on Sleuth that the audience didn't get). At one point, a wall was supposed to fall down. However, early in the play, the wrong wall fell down and almost crushed one of the actors (who happened to have been in a wheelchair, although he didn't need it). So. He decided to jump up and hold the wall.

The audience went crazy. And, well, since the wall was also falling on me,it wasn't planned, and it was hilarious, I had to stop myself from laughing. But it was hard. And then... I sorta wet myself.

Luckily, I was behind something, so people didn't see, but there was a kind of... puddle. Again, luckily, I had a pitcher of water in front of me and I kept pouring it on the floor to cover up what happened. I was terrifically embarrassed (and couldn't stop laughing even so), but I did learn one valuable thing: always go to the bathroom before going onstage.

(Luckily, I learned that lesson before the play that ended with the entire cast piled on top of me).

I have never, ever, never told anyone that. Not even my mother or sister, and I tell them everything.

*bows to you*

Thanks. I'm really glad I finally told *someone*. :)

Second--you are smart as HELL because you covered like a godamn PRO!

Never thought of it like that. I feel smart now. :)

Thank you!

FEETS!

[identity profile] iibnf.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
My toes are so long my nick name when I was a kid was 'monkey feet'. They are very useful, when I'm barefoot, I have four hands.

Also, I hate looking down. I didn't know I'd broken a (very long) toe until someone else noticed how twisted it was (pain? I can handle it, but looking down? no way). I also hate looking left and right, which has led to some scary near misses while driving.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Hunh! No kidding--long toes are extremely useful! Mr. R also has the long toes but he refuses to be useful to me and pick up stuff I drop.
And no offense but I would SO not want to be on the road while you were driving! Eeep!

I've worked in a couple of wild buffalo round-up's where I not only got to brand a calf but I also was responsible for carrying young bull stud um, samples, a-hem, from the pens to the testing site.

Don't ask how those samples are acquired, cuz, wow, there's no turning back to the visualization that will enter your head.

I'm sure you're not bored anymore, but here is something I want to tell: I like hugs. Not just online ones, but real life ones. (I wasn't always like that.)
*hugs*

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Weird, hunh? I used to not like strangers to touch me(strangers being anyone I didn't know for at least a year) but I got old and got over it. :)

So, expect unsettling hugs if ever we meet! :)

wow! how cool is that! well, except for ferrying the buffalo whazit. *GGG*

I took second place in a Spam carving competition. I carved swirly things on the sides of the "shell" and made little antennas coming out of it's head and it had a little pointy tail thing in the back. Then I used gelatin to make a trail behind it.

Tom Robbins (wrote Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, etc.) awarded me my trophy - which sits in a place of honor in the middle of my mantle piece. It is the most god-awful tacky thing you've seen. And I'm so proud. Whee!
