omg, my friends, you're making me cry!!
What a day! I spent most of my birthday, from the ass crack of the morning to late this afternoon, in the hospital lounge, waiting for my dad to get into surgery and then out of. This was for the kidney stone thing. He was cranky, of course, and bitter about waiting and I can't say I blame him, poor old guy.
Did I feel sorry for myself, spending almost my whole day in the hospital again? Hell the fuck yeah. I won't lie. By the time 3:00 rolled around, I wanted to kill everyone, and it must have been plain on my face, because people stopped treating me like a mildly challenged person and started acting more like I was possibly rabid, a vast improvement.
My friends, I will thank each and every one of you for your wonderful gifts and lovely greetings, they went a long way to making this a much, much better day! I'm 56 today--do you know what that means? It means two days from now, I'm going to think I'm 57. :)
