Last Bit of Nattering About NTM

NTM will be 35 parts with an included epilogue when I'm finished. Almost a year, this story took, and it wasn't even that big a story to tell, for cryin' out loud. I really do go on. When T get Impossible Things wrapped up too that will make me happy. From there I can decide which idea to work on first. I am in awe of folks who whip out these monster fics, one after the other in waaaaaay less time than it takes me to write my fucking grocery list. I'm just grateful the end is in sight now, and I'm inclined to push right on through until I'm completely done---the end is mostly just a lot of soft-core porn since somewhere along the line, my porn crank broke. Anyhoo, if anyone wants a heads up for the last bit, let me know in comments, also you should give me lots of cookies and hand rubs, owie. *is tired and sad*

Ach, but the difference with your year is that you have the most brilliant research and your story really feels like it's right there and taking a year for all that beauty makes sense! I *believe* in those boys. It's so gorgeous and now I can devote my time to it, since stories are not torturing me anymore, woo-hoo!!

Wow. Well, thank you! The research has often felt more like a time-waster. The hours I've spent poring over Google Maps when I thought I should be writing actual words--I can't begin to count them.

Of course i did! Silly thing. I love an old West AU. I love using the magic of the forge - and there is so much lore about that - in a story that's a retelling of the Colt origins. I love a bitter, lonely Sam and a needs-to-love-someone Dean.
