Hello My Friends!

Not being able to read a page--has anyone else been having this problem or is it just me? Clicking on a link to a journal takes me to a blank page, or the LJ's header with no content on the page. It's making me nuts because there's reading to be done. *pouts*

It just happened to me -- it was trying to load something from "ssl.gstatic.com" and the connection hung, so the page couldn't load.

It happened last night. I was reading a fic, and when I clicked to the next part, I got the blank page thing. It's happened a couple other times.

It's been happening to a lot of people, I think. For the people I've talked to, it seemed to time out when trying to contact facebook. And it seems random.

Huh, I thought it was a dialup problem--it happened to me a lot yesterday, though it was always LJ, not other sites.

One of my fics 'disappeared' from lj yesterday, and i got an email about it. It was there for me, but Darkhavens couldn't see it, either. It finally 'came back', and DH and i speculated that it's because, for some reason, LJ has changed the source code of posts and it's now three times the size it was.

So pages are timing out because they're so much crap to load, or not loading at all. I put in a support/service report, and so did someone else, so maybe they'll fix it soon.

YES. It happened to me last night, all night long, while I was trying to edit one of my fics. It'd let me go to the edit page, it would let me edit the entry and then when I hit save it would take me to a "500 Internal Server Error" page. I was FURIOUS with LJ. I finally got the fic edited and it only took me SIX HOURS to do it. And what's even better (note sarcasm) is that "500 Internal Server Error" is the message you get when they don't know what's wrong. Just... something's messed up.

Then today, I was trying to check my inbox and the inbox itself loaded, but not the LJ header and drop-down menus. I've been having a bugger of a time with certain things on LJ since the DDoS attack thing. They've got bugs now is my guess, but it is only guess. What isn't a guess is how damned annoying it all is. *huffs*

It's doing it ALL THE TIME. Has been for a couple days. But once I see that it's not loading, clicking on refresh brings it up pretty quickly. I dunno why.

Yes - repeatedly. :( I keep getting a facebook load error so I think from other comments it must have something to do with how long it's taking LJ servers to load outside links. I had the problem on my profile yesterday. :( DNW!

In all cases it's cleared up in a few hours.
