I'm supposed to be writing. I actually have ideas, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] write_light and [livejournal.com profile] portraitofafool. It's just...I'm afraid to start. Every time I open a doc, I get anxious and weird and start doing anything but writing. Whhhhhhhhhhhhy omg?

Like I don't have enough wacky shit to deal with.

There, there. You'll get to it.

I'm working up to it...so far, my desk and all the shelves above it are nice and dusted and my never used dictionaries are all lined up. I think my next step is to wash out my one shot coffee maker....

What is life without some wacky thrown in? You can do this you know. At least I know but I am not sure you know that I know that you....

Umm, just trying to get a little smile. Sad try I know, but I try.

Sometimes writing anxiety is the only way I get any housework done. lol. *hugs*

I know, right???? You wouldn't believe how much housework I've done...tomorrow, I'll tell myself that it's writing timestamps day--maybe I'll be motivated to do that floor-to-ceiling bathroom cleaning I've been putting off...

*hugs of solidarity*

have a conversation with the characters - start with "WHY SO RETICENT?" and just type what they say. argue them around to your point of view, typing the entire exchange.

hunh! I like that idea. Really, they do argue with me, omg. Especially Clark and Lex. I used to have *epic* arguments with Lex Luthor, which I never won. Lex always did what he wanted and basically, it always worked. ;)

Dean does that to me.

I've been having that kind of problem with two stories I'm working on. One's 10K and I open it up, stare at it awhile and then close the file. The other I can't even start and I have to.

If you figure out why it happens, let me know *facepalms*

I did what [livejournal.com profile] tabaqui said (in hte comment under this one)and it kinda worked--just, started writing without thinking where it was going and I actually think I have something!

*smish*

I have been there. Just - write something. One sentence. Doesn't matter if it's good or not, don't even think, just write it. Type for ten seconds and then if you feel like you can go on, just keep going. Don't worry about how it's not 'perfect' or exactly what you were thinking or whatever, just get some words out.

Surprisingly, you'll often find yourself getting a groove and just *writing*. Editing happens later! :)

I did what that and you know what, it kinda worked! I think I might have the beginning of something, ugly as it is!
