happy thanksgiving

So, like a lot of people in retail, my Thanksgiving was a rushed kind of affair. We went out since both the kid and I had to work and it seemed crazy to cook and all that stuff and then head out to work. We had a good old fashioned Jersey-style thanksgiving--we went to a diner and had really good food. We ate dinner at 2:00, so that the kid and I could catch a nap before work. I worked 12am to 12pm this year. I got home about 1:00, ate and went to bed. I'm kinda old and delicate to be on my feet for twelve hours, I was wore out, ya'll. I'm just kind of waking up now, and even though everyone else's Thanksgiving has been over for a while, mine is still limping along.

Anyhoo, Happy Thanksgiving guys. I hope it was a good one for you! ♥

Sounds like a crazy couple of days. So, you had the joy of the Black Friday crowd. Maybe it's disloyal of me (of the stores in my area), but I do 95% of my holiday shopping online. I hope you've gotten some good downtime. Our Thanksgiving is still going, too. We had one yesterday with my MiL, and today with my parents and various other family. I don't think I'll eat again until Christmas dinner.

The Bebe went up to Springfield to Turkey Day with my mom, brothers and the cousins, and we stayed down here and had lunch with Cat's family. Everything over by three and we came home to drowse and watch tv! Heh.

My favorite holidays are the ones in which i don't have to cook.

Black Friday needs to be abolished. Besides a few things, we're shopping local this year, probably 80/20. I know you gotta make a living, but it's so wrong to me. :P

I agree--Black Friday is stupid, and I really don't think the money made is worth the ridiculous fuss. it's like a day set aside for thanks is rapidly becoming a monument to greed.
