These are my thoughts.

I watched X-Men First Class (because I don't like to rush into things) and I didn't see the slightest trace of slash in that flick whatsoever. None! As opposed to Ian McKellen's and Patrick Stewart's Magneto and Xavier. Those guys, omgosh, I totally believed that once upon a time, they hung out drinking Tom Collins, smoking unfiltered cigarettes and fucking with John Coltrane playing in the background.

I completely agree. I watched the whole time waiting for that crazy chemistry. Got nothing. I was so disappointed. In no way did it make me dislike the film. But I don't feel it's one I'll watch as often as I do the others.

Huge disappointment, right? The way the fic flowed after that flick, I expected dynamite on screen. Pffft! nothing! And yes, it was a good movie, but not as exciting as the others.

I didn't see it (then again I didn't see Clex right away either). And then somebody posted a vid (it might have been this one) and I was like, of course! How could I miss it?

Didn't see the Clex right away??? LOL! The first time I saw it I was all "ooooh, so that's what this is all about--they're in love!"

I didn't see it either - but I'm pretty sure some people could find it anywhere ;)

Like me! I can find it almost anywhere but not there. I liked the movie, just, I didn't see it!

I agree, Roxy. I didn't see it either and I was bored out of my mind while watching it. I don't where fandom stands on it but the only thing I enjoyed was the Wolverine cameo. He had more presence than anyone else in the film.

I thought the film was interesting, but not as exciting as the previous films. I did like the Wolverine cameo too! I think my problem with the film was that the leads just didn't really ping with me, especially Michael Fassbender.

Ah ha ha. I had to google this film to know which one it was, that's how much of an impact it made on me. Yeah, just...meh.

Late to the party because lj has eaten all of my notifications for, like, the last two months, but I think you know I'm pretty much the exact opposite of you on this issue. :) I don't know. I mean, besides all the obvious crying and touching and long stares into each other's eyes, I felt the actors' onscreen chemistry easily lent itself to post-film slashing. I'm biased. I can slash James McAvoy with anyone (and do, as evidenced by Randy in my Four Brothers fics), and Fassbender has chemistry with, I swear to Jebus, almost every single person with whom he's costarred. *shrugs* I'm sad you don't see it, but it's not a big deal. I, for example, don't under any circumstance ship Holmes/Watson. I know that's really, really weird, but--I just can't do it. I also can't ship anyone else's Cas/Dean. I see it on Show, and I of course wrote my way around some, but I can never, ever read fic with that pairing. We all have our weird zones.

(Still, maybe some fic? I could always rec you some. . . XD Don't worry! Not pushing. No pushing here. This is a push-free zone! *crosses fingers*)

No, no thank you love, no recs please. I won't read them and then I'll feel all guilty because I didn't read them and then agonize that I'm a bad friend and then I'll feel like a heel and then I'll feel like a *needy* heel and then. Well. You get the drift. :)

Obsessive? Looney? Maaaaaaybeee....
