peanut butter kisses

peanut butter kisses

1 jar (8oz)peanut butter, creamy type
1 and 1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
one bag of Hershey kisses

set oven to 350 degrees

stir together all ingredients (except kisses) with wooden or silicon spoon, dough will be sticky

with floured hands, make 1 inch balls.

place 1 and 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet

bake 1 to 2 minutes--until cookies look dry and the tops have cracked

remove from oven and press a kiss into the top of each cookie

cool on the sheet for a minute or two, then transfer to wire rack to finish cooling

the most work? undressing the kisses.

Hi, Roxy! I tried to find the recipe but couldn't, which is a bit distressing. I'll keep looking, though. Hopefully no one threw out my mom's recipe box when we were doing a massive clean-out of the house last spring. :(

The cookies are excellent! Very simple, no icing or anything required unless you'd want to add that. They have a rich, full flavor if you're a molasses fan, which works very well for these particular cookies. I used this recipe in Home Ec class and got an A! ;)

Oh, I hope it didn't get thrown away! Those family recipes are so important! But now I'm even *more* curious--I mean an *A* in Home Ec!! :)
