Dear my friends,

If anyone tells you "sure, we'll do an endoscopy along with the colonoscopy--what the heck, no big deal since you're out already, right?" run, my friends, run like the wind because that is some lyin' motherfucker.

Wisdom brought to you by a sore, cranky old lady. No need for thanks.

This is so TIMELY because I just took one of my friends to her first, regular colonoscopy. SHE WAS MOST DISGRUNTLED BY IT. Poor lady was so nauseous and woozy and sore. I am NOT looking forward to the day I have to get mine. No, ma'am.

Considering I am extremely hard to sedate and actually woke up in the middle of my last colonoscopy (they didn't believe me when I told them I was hard to sedate), I would definitely have woozily walked my way out of the hospital if that was suggested.

Feel better soon.

My doctor just told me I have to have a colonoscopy. Shh, don't tell anyone that I'm hiding under my bed.

Hope you're feeling normal soon.

Man, this stuff just shouldn't happen. I can't speak for an endoscopy but my husband and I have had a few colonoscopies between us now and it's literally been a case of being wheeled in, get the injection and a moment later realizing we're in a different room and it's all over. Wouldn't even know it had happened. If that's not the experience you folks are getting you need to change doctors (or countries).

I've had the combo a few times. They didn't bother me nearly as much as the prep. Ugh, ugh. So sorry you had such a terrible experience.
