*rolls up sleeves*

I'm about to do some writing--my BB or my Curtain fic--which should it be? I'd do a poll thing but I'm too lazy to figure it out. Help me, all knowing flist!

Take a little curtain fic break before more BB work!! (Oh yeah, I think you posted while I was gone - must check it out!)

I like your idea! :D

I'm voting BB, because that's what I'm working on. Yay solidarity!

I really should...even though Sam and Dean are making eyes at me...*g*

Whichever answer you're secretly hoping everyone should give is what you should write. If, even after posing the question to the masses you still don't find yourself particularly caring one way or the other, then you should write the BB. Because if you don't finish it now, the deadline (whenever it is) *will* end up sneaking up on you. Deadlines are bitches like that.

I'm secretly hoping someone will say, "what the heck, send it to me and I'll write it for you!" *koff* But I kid, I'm a huge kidder!

I know you're so right, I should write the BB. I've been on the end of writing at 12 midnight too many times.

Alright, here I go!! Buckling down, writing BB! Riiiiight about now!

It's all good, especially to me, who sits here wondering what the ever-loving fuck is stopping me from rolling up my own sleeves and getting some writing done.

Write for me! Pleeeeezzzze!

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2014-05-12 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha! What, if I write for you, who is going to write for me?? :D

In all seriousness, you've just given me an important insight. I've been trying to overcome my writer's (and editor's) block ever since my "busy remodeling!" excuse went away. Here I am with no time constraints and no calls on my mind, and still, writing isn't happening.

When I saw your comment this morning, I thought, "I wonder if I could write for Roxy..." and a series of notions about accountability and boundaries unspooled in my mind. Don't worry, I won't put that on you! But I remember churning out Restraint during absolutely the busiest and most stressful time in my career, and I look back on that time with amazement: it was like being two different people with two entirely unrelated lives.

The point is, I have no accountability and no boundaries now, and that's what I need to create for myself in order to write.

I need help.

Well shit girl, write for me. Get up in the morning and ask yourself, "What Would Roxy Want?"

I'm here for you in any way you want and take that seriously. :)

And I think most of us are like that--I know I am. I don;t write well in a vacuum. I write slow as it is, without some sort of feedback in any kind of way, I'm even slower. So, yup. Gotcha.

I have a strange feeling that you might want hotter pr0n than I generally write!

Still, you know, I feel very encouraged and supported, and now that I've wasted the middle part of my day playing with my magic talking smoke alarm, I think I'll do some writing!

So thank you! And I'll keep you posted.
