I can see that's Jensen's really enjoying this--he seems so energized!
I also think that DemonDean is definitely straddling the line here--he want to be as evil as he appears but I think it's a lot harder than it would be for the average demon.
Also, that Crowley scene made me cry from laughing.
Two things: first, when they played torture boy's tragic backstory flashback, I turned to my Dad and said, "Sad thing is, this guy would have made a much better spinoff than the one they tried to give us." And second, I think they did a pretty good job of making Jensen look more like S1 Dean (even though it would've been more like S -2) than S10 Dean in the flashback. Nice to see the props department haul the amulet out of storage. :)
Right? It would have been so much more believable than the monster mob families they tried to spin. Or if the cast had had as much chemistry with each other as this actor has with Jensen *and* Jared. I believe this guy hates him and has been looking to kill Dean since he was a kid.
They did a great job! I wish they'd stop teasing us with the darn thing and just bring it back. I miss Dean's jewelry. *pout*
Wow, sweetie! Dean's scenes were pretty darned chilling, huh? Also hot, we mustn't forget, hot as Hades! And, Sam, he looked like a terrified kid standing there facing Dean but he didn't back down, not even for a second. I loved it! :)
POOR SAM!! He looked like he was about to pass out from too many emotions! And that end bit...SO SAD! I couldn't even tell if DDean meant what he was saying--but I'd thought the same thing when he let that guy live, that it wasn't from any vestige of kindness.
But you know what a master Dean is at denial, repression and lying to himself.
That ep was crazy! Dean is *scary*!! Legit scarier than any demon they've had on the show. Cole was outclassed by far--hell, if he'd tried to take on nondemon Dean barehanded he'd have lost. Poor little guy. I see he's going to be a pain in the ass next couple of eps....

I really, REALLY loved this episode. I didn't hate the premiere, but this was like, at a whole other level. And I really liked Cas's parts better because they were focused on the personal element - Cas and Hannah - as opposed to the angel politics side. :P
Dean was absolutely chilling. Jensen outdid himself here. <3
And Crowley... Crowley's lucky to be alive, that's all I'll say. ;) hehe
You know, if they kept to a storyline in which Cas tried to deal with a slow loss of power and with Hannah becoming corrupted by humanity, just like Cas was in the beginning, then yes, much more interesting. Angel politics are basically a snooze fest far as I'm concerned.

I'm thinking that Dean behaving the way he did was not exactly outside of Crowley's plans--but I think he definitely a little scared of him.
