*siiiiigh*

I'm sad that no one cares about Constantine. I really liked it and I guess that it's already headed out the door. Their choice for John was excellent--he did a wonderful job. Fingers crossed!

Other stuff I find myself liking lately? Gotham--it's not bad and I'm very fond of Donal Louge. I'm liking the Librarians so far--Christian Kane continues to amuse the heck out of me. Agents of Shield because I'm crazy about Phil Coulson--heck, I'd watch Clark Gregg in anything.

Show. Waiting is driving me *CRAZY*.

Don't forget "Agent Carter" tonight!

Oh, *thank* you!! I totally forgot and that is a show I'm looking forward to!

What?!? They cancelled it? I think they are far too quick on the trigger cancelling things. I'm still mad about Almost Human being cancelled. They can't even tell from their ratings now who is really watching, especially in the younger demographics. All they keep on for sure are the big chains (NCIS etc) UGHHH! I am looking forward to a day when they can accurately see how much science fiction shows are watched.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
I'm 90% sure they booted it--it's on hiatus and that just sounds like bad news to me. It had Grimm as a lead-in and I'd thought that Grimm was doing really well, seemed like Constantine would've had a built-in audience. Oh well. See? This is why I like the CW. You have to practically reek like a zombie on ice to get cancelled there.

LOL, I love your icon. So restful. I may have to steal it to keep daddy fox company. I added this in honour of the kink meme college AU with werewolf!Jared and fox!Jensen. When Jared was going to be away for a couple of weeks he left a wolf stuffy on Jensen's bed : D

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Snag away, my dear! It's by [livejournal.com profile] casey28, I snagged a bunch of really adorable snow icons from her.

Fox Jensen...sounds familiar! :)

It went into limbo. I think she had three or four WIPs going at the same time, one of the other ones was werewolf!Jared out in the middle of nowhere and Jensen crashes and Jared drags him to his den and mates him (in wolf form) in the spring when he comes back to himself he is deeply ashamed. I don't think that one got finished either. : (

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Oh gosh, yes! Perils of the North Wind! I loved that story, even with the omgosh*eep* bits, it was a great story--and [livejournal.com profile] altimeterrise was fun! I'm sad that she's not posting anymore. I hope she's okay. I snagged what there was of Perils a while back, hoping that someday she'd finish it.

And speaking of snagging stories, I need to get with you about a few fics you say you have saved. :)

I'm not a comics girl--something about the format is difficult for me to parse. Give me *text*, dammit! Or video. Or even straight pictures, drawn or photograph, with captions. But trying to read comics makes me frustrated and anxious. I was a freaky child.

So I'm not familiar with all the DC and Marvel and other comic book characters and storylines. I liked the look of tv show Constantine. I've always thought they should have hired Callum Keith Rennie for the movie version. I mean, Keanu did an adequate job, but that script wasn't really Constantine, from what I've learned in discussion here and there. The tv version looked like it actually would be, and even with the flashy FX, which on tv usually puts me off unless used really sparingly, the episodes I've watched have been intriguing. But precisely because it was approximately *right*, I just assumed it wouldn't succeed. As Dresden didn't--and Dresden was the nearest equivalent to Constantine, and I loved Dresden irreservedly, so I figured I would love Constantine too, and I didn't want to get attached again and then lose another potential beloved.

I've just not been able to make an emotional commitment to any new shows recently. It took two tries on SHIELD. Flash is cute, Arrow is...whatthehellever, I love the salmon ladder I'm easy whatthehell. I'm liking Librarians. I'll tell you a thing. I've been a Leverage fan since go, but OH would never watch it. "I hate caper flicks." But this isn't about the caper, it's about the characters.

So we've been watching Librarians, and about the nine dozenth time I wail, "I miss Eliot! I wish you would watch Leverage, just for Eliot (and Parker, and Hardison)!" finally he cued up Leverage on Netflix last night. So *finally* he gets the Eliot love, and now he can truly appreciate whassface on Librarians.

Um. Hi? I seem to have wandered off topic. Sorry? In conclusion, SAVE CONSTANTINE! Y/Y?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
I love when folks go off topic, lol! I loved Elliot, I loved Lindsey, I can see me loving this new character as soon as I remember his name. But I'm afraid to get too involved--like you say, don;t want to get involved and then have it snatched from me.
(sidenote--it kills me that Mr. R calls Kane, "that kid. you know, that hitter kid."

Callum Keith Rennie for the movie version

I'm sorry, I might have had an itty, bitty, teeny-weeny, kind of an orgasm.

I am also enjoying Gotham. They have some great guest actors. Always a fan of Doal Logue and I like that Ben whosey whatsis from Southland. Oh man, I just had a little Southland withdrawl. I will never get over that cancellation.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I loved Donal so, so much on Terriers--I'm still all sad and weepy about that one.

Oh man, I just had a little Southland withdrawl. I will never get over that cancellation.

Girl, that was my *SHOW*.

[identity profile] maraceles.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
I love Constantine! I hope it doesn't get cancelled! Noooooo

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know for sure, have only read speculations--but wouldn't it *SUCK*? Especially when I'm working up to some nice John/Chas....pout.

[identity profile] rosy5000.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
I wanted to try to watch Constantine, but I've had soooo many other shows on that I've been trying to keep up with and catch up on. I haven't had this many shows to watch at one time in years!

I watched the first few eps of Gotham, but it just started getting too depressing for me.

AoS and Coulsen!!! OMGYES!!! I adore Clark Gregg!!! ♥

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
I would kidnap Clark Gregg in a second!! In fact, I think I still have some duct tape in the back of the van....*koff* JK. *shifty-eyes*

[identity profile] daisydumont.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
I'd never seen Clark Gregg before The Avengers. That Son of Coul is a great character.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
LOL!!

Oh, he's wonderful--I loved him as Christine's ex-husband in The New Adventures of Old Christine. He was hysterical in that show. It's well worth watching if you like julia Louis-Dreyfes. The whole cast was really excellent. It was a good silly show and somehow, someway, for no reason I can explain, I found myself liking Richard(Clark's character) very, very much...*koff*

[identity profile] daisydumont.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
>for no reason I can explain

Yeah, that happens to me a lot. See my icon. I'm still over the moon for that guy. :D

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
yeah, okay, but Bucky is sexy--Phil is not so much...*G*

[identity profile] daisydumont.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, but he is! I've read plenty of fanfiction in which he's paired with either Pepper (it works) or Clint (which can be very hot). His air of controlled badassery is a lot of fun to read about. :)

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
I am completely and totally disappointed in fandom for ignoring the perfectly valid Steve/Phil. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A THING.

[identity profile] daisydumont.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa.... No, I haven't seen a bit of that! It could be very entertaining. (I won't even tell you what my current mental obsession is. It doesn't involve Steve directly. Ah, it might have Bruce and Tony in it. And lots of Bucky in eyeliner. OMG.) :D

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
oh, I watched them interact in the Captain America movie and spun a little rose-tinted fannish web of mildly dub-con Steve/Phil. I'm always taking a step to the left, fandom wise. *sigh*

As for you--*points* PERV!!

[identity profile] daisydumont.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
That I am! I cannot deny it. ;)

Ooh, dub-con. Who's forcing whom? Innnteresting.

Have I got a Tumblr post for you! Just saw it and went yummm.
Clark Gregg in b&w

omgosh, thank you!! And gee, I'm surprised I'm not the only one! :D

Need Phil icon now....

[identity profile] iibnf.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
I liked it - most shows are on temp hiatus now, so fingers crossed? Didn't seem to get long enough time to be cancelled yet. Didn't hear any buzz about it, though. Nothing at all.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah--no buzz is definitely a bad sign. :(

I love all these shows! My only problem with Constantine is that every episode reminds me of a similar plot being used in SPN. But it's a different spin on the same myths and legends, so I enjoy it.

I'm obsessed with Gotham. I'm really enjoying The Librarians. I hope it sticks around. I love Rebecca Romijn.

And I feel the same way about Agent Coulson. Coulson/May is my only hetero ship :)

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:06 am (UTC)(link)

LOL! Oh yeah, like SpN was their show bible. :D

Who is May? Oh, is this from Agents of Shield? I really do need a tv set. ;)

Ming-Na Wen RULES in Agents of Shield! This is my favorite of all the parts I've ever seen her play :)

[identity profile] daisydumont.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
I'd never seen her name before this. Beautiful woman! (IMDb told me all about her.) :)

[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
I saw the unaired pilot and didn't like it at all so I didn't continue. did it get better?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes, I thought Constantine was good. Not 'oooo, stellar', but entertaining. :)

[identity profile] oldbatj.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I think since NBC only ordered 13 episodes of Constantine that it's as good as gone... The shows that had good viewership all got back orders for more.

Gotham is good...dark and ominous! The Librarians is a nice bit of fluff..... silly cross between Leverage and Warehouse 13. I think I like Kane's old role on Leverage better though.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I was afraid of that. :(

silly cross between Leverage and Warehouse 13.

Heeeee! Exactly!

I've loved Donal Logue since Grounded for Life. He does a great job in anything he's in.

The New Adventures of Old Christine ran in syndication for a bit, so I caught Clark Gregg in those. It's so funny watching him be someone other than Coulson! Gotta love that the actor/character was so good they built a whole series around him.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 02:09 am (UTC)(link)

*nods* Clark just has that charisma--you can't help but love him!

Constantine is on my to-watch list!

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, it's very good--it's not deep or thinky, just a lot of fun.
