God came back after a very, very long time gone. I kind of loved the concept of him being the ultimate dead-beat dad. Or very, very, hands -off parent. This ep turned out to be the capper for quite a few things that fandom has wondered over the years, so yeah, I'm not surprised if SpN fandom is having meltdowns, good and bad, all over the place, lol!
By now, I've seen lots of "God is canonically bi!" posts. Interesting concept, right? (I am always tickled to see Curtis Armstrong turn up on my dash. He's Lucifer maybe?)
OMC, sweetie! I kept rewinding and rewinding as I watched it, I can't wait to see it again. When Dean is holding the samulet in his hand at the end I kept yelling, quietly because everyone else is asleep, at the tv for him to put it on! Never thought I'd be saying those words to him, for sure.
This show, no matter what happens along the way it still owns my heart!
I loved this ep, loud and thrilled! They made me very happy. If there wasn't a twelfth season assured, I'd have been terrified, you know? Just, all our chickens coming home to roost, so to speak.....
We got the best Brother moments ever that episode! They were short but powerful--and poor Sam, so torn over the people he couldn't save! Saving people, hunting things--the Winchester way! Just how I like it. :D
Is it me, or did Metatron pick up some Winchestering skills? Seriously, that "you abandoned me, but I love you even though you're being a dick and a coward and an idiot" speech had kind of a Winchester family reunion vibe.
And the "Revolution" joke! I mean, I never watched that show, because the concept of "all electricity, even batteries, no longer works, but everyone's brains are sparking along just fine" made me roll my eyes so hard I was afraid I'd sprain something if I actually turned it on, but nice name check on Kripke's post-SPN project.
And the Samulet has returned from plot device Purgatory to be the machina from ex we find deus. :)
Your comments are the best, lol! There was *such* a Winchesterly feel to Chuck and Metatron's meeting. And the Revolution reference had me pointing and yelling at the TV, hah!
The question becomes, though, what do they do for Season 12? How do you top "Death is dead, God's Sister is back (and she's just done with everything), Lucifer's out of the cage, and oh, yeah, God's in play?" I've got some ideas about them finally explaining the pagan gods, but after this, they're kinda small potatoes.

And dude. DUDE. The way Dean found the Samulet -- So Sam DID retrieve it from the trash -- and has been carrying it around all this time?! ♥_♥

I don't even know, I'm drowning in feelings but all of them good! I was loud, I was weepy, I was overcome!
and has been carrying it around all this time?!

I'm in shock.
Dean will never leave Sam! Sam has had the amulet in his pocket for 7 years! (Even if these aren't true, let me believe them, for a little while.)
Quick Roxy build us a time machine so we don't have to wait the longest week in history to see the next one.
