The only thing I can imagine, having just read the 'advanced copy' in another LJ, is that this may be a sequel to your last (very fantastic) evol Lana fic.
After all she has plenty of time in her box to imagine such a 'perfect' situation. Also plenty of time has passed for a disgruntled ex-employee, Lionel or other random stranger to help her escape.
PS any chance of recovering your files. That happened to me once years ago, Norton utilities helped a little bit but still lost a heap, it sucks... not in a good way either ;-)
