I have this idea about an AU, taking place in the future, starring my boys of course because I love them. I want to take elements of a feudal society and apply them to the story--it'll probably read more like fantsy than SF.

And I want to take bits of Unleashed (that movie with Jet Li) because it was such a cool premise and smash them in there too. And fairy tales and pirates and cram them in there too. THis will probably not happen but I've been thinking about it all day. When I should be figuring out other stuff. Like what Lucas ands Martha talk about when he walks into the Talon.

Plus, I'm still trying to figure out if 1960's AU Pete is gay, or bi in this little thing percolating in my head.

And if any of you ladies close to my age remember local DJ's, can you drop a line about them--what do you remember their shitck was?

Let's see...local DJ shtick. I grew up in a small town in Ohio - not unlike Smallville, but without the mutants. Okay, maybe there were a couple of mutants...but I digress. We had this DJ (AM, of course. I think this was either before or in the early days of FM, but I could be wrong.) His name was Marty Larson, and he used to sign off every night with the extremely lame phrase, "And remember...kissing can be habit forming." I also remember that Marty's dad was a minister. There was a DJ in Cleveland that I liked, but I can't get a clear focus on him in my mind....which might have something to do with the weed I might have been smoking during that period... *coff* I remember that he owned a club in the flats in Downtown Clevelend where he'd broadcase live from on the weekends. He'd have beach parties in the middle of winter...brought in a truckload of sand and poured it all over the floor. Heh. Those were the days.....

Oh goodness-- no, no! we didn't smoke weed--that would be wrong....

i am all for fantasy!!! clex..........coz I guess it will be remembering me of historical clex fics, if its going to have feudal society elements.
and it would also be great if its sci-fi, coz as far as I can remember, we had only one clex series, that it set in the future, and there is NO time travelling involved.
unfortunately, the author de-archived the 2 fics from SSA :(
but maybe you know them??
they were called Arx celestis ...it was our clex, only set 100 years in the future, with orbital stations, and other futuristic props...

Yes! OMG yes!! that was such a great series!! I remember them now...they're gone? Oh that's too sad--I can't remember the author but I remember the series.

yes, the author I think left SV fandom, and for whatever reasons de-archived them :(
I know, coz several weeks ago, s.o. at sv_inquiry asked, and I went back to SSA to look, and they were not here :(

I remembered her name. What a shame she decided to take the story off SSA. It was a good story.*sad*
