not cutting because i want everyone to feel my pain--AGAIN!!!

So, let me tell you what I did last night.

I finished Deal. Yes, well more or less, there was a little epiloggy thingy to do--but I finished most of it and posted the first half. Breathed a big ole sigh of relief and said, "Roxy, let us close all these documents that are cluttering up the place needlessly and get a cup of coffee, chill a min and post the rest. So I did--and declined to save any of them because, boy howdy--that story was done, it would eat my brain no more. Oh, and I wrapped my paper notes around a rib I was nibbling on and tossed it in the garbage. Yeah--I was eating a rib without a plate and sitting at the keyboard--so what?

anyhooo...after coffee, and a little bit of Da Vinci's Inquest because CKR is on at the moment, and also that other scraggly little guy I find strangely attractive in a Badger sort of way, I went to post the rest and it was GONE because I KILLED it.
KILLED it DEAD.

Soooo...I sat there for a bit, and shut off the laptop, and went to bed.

And now, I'm trying to recreate the damn thing. And maybe it's good that I have to re-write it. And maybe I'm still a little in shock.

'Cause I mean--what the fuck was that? That was possibly the stupidest thing I'd ever done--stupider than going to that party with a see through shirt on and no bra. Stupider than losing the rubber. Stupider than getting in that clown car packed with drunks, stupider than...well, okay, maybe not the stupidest thing ever but, wow.

That really sucked.

On the other hand...oh, wait--THERE IS NO FUCKING OTHER HAND!!!!!!

I need more coffee... ;)

I lost enough papers in the early years of network applications and college, that I have been very, very thorougly trained to save compulsively. Everythime I hit a new paragraph, pause for a moment to collect my thoughts or otherwise breathe, I hit control-s and save. Seriously. I think you need to explore the joys of obsessive-compulsive computer behavior.
