What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

Philadelphia
The South
The Northeast
The Inland North
Boston
The West
North Central

Gee--I haven't done one of these in a long time...my accent is what happens to you when you're an army dependent. You're never in one place long enough to really develop an accent and you do tend to sound like the folks on TV. And me living right outside of Philly, too. Though I hear that no one in Philly calls it Philly. hmmmm. Accents, smaccents--we all pronounce fuck the same way, and isn't that the most important thing--no? Really? Hunh. Well, I'll be....

*giggle* You know, I grew up in Utah and I still apparently have the same accent as you. Thats sad. Or, alternately, a triumph of media as a culutural unifier. But I'm just gonna go with sad.

You know? I keep telling people I'm not the one with the accent. I'm from Miami, and all of our accents are either latin, caribbean, or ghetto-as-hell, and I don't have any of those, so people think I'm not from here. BORN AND RAISED, PEOPLE! But then again, they tell me I sound like a white girl, so...oh well.

They tell me that too! What's wrong with people?
*G*

That's weird. I've been told that I sound like a northerner (when I lived in TN) and now that I'm in the midwest, I still sound different. The test says midwest. But I'm borned and raised in the South, yall.

ha! The test is an idiot!

I ended up as 'Midland' too. I guess that's better than 'Hill Billy Hick' which is native to where I grew up, even if Midland is less colorful... :)
