how long??

How long Lord? How long must I go through this monthly psychosis? What the hell, how long does it take to go through menopause, fercraps sake?? I'm fucking 53 years old, it's not like I *need* to be fertile anymore, thank you. Bloating, and cramping and having to keep sharp objects away--oh, and let's not forget the amusing self-hatred and total lack of self-confidence in my every ability--so yeah, updates? Eaten up by that, sorry.

*humpf*

Oh well.

Did I mention horny? I don't mind that part so much. *g*

*smug* I don't do that anymore, and I'm 32 ^_~ I ♥ my hysterectomy =D

EVolness

Gee, and here I had this image of you as kind and loving and generous to old ladies...there goes that fantasy..

*PPPPPPPPPLLLBBTT*

virtual raspberries are nowhere near as satisfying as real life ones.

OHOHOHOHOHOHO!!

Seriously. I love my hysterectomy. I can only imagine the hell of still having your dot. o_O; But my parts were non-working parts. Ma's were removed when she was 42, my aunt had hers out at 40, my grandma had hers out at 39 and they left in her ovaries which turned out to be a disaster (they sort of... grafted themselves onto one of her other organs somehow and it got really bad). My oldest aunt is the only one who actually went through menopause naturally and hers didn't actually quit until the last couple of years or so... and she's 62. So. *grimace*

*SHRIEKS aND PULLS HAIR* oh, really? That long, hunh? Well, well.

*RUNS SCREAMING*

You know, most women I know seem pretty good about their hysterectomy.

I still have a couple of decades to go, but I was thinking something similar a little while ago. I'm still looking at my collection of sharp bladed toys and wondering if I can get away with carving up my obliviously SLEEPING husband. Because sleeping means no relief for the crankiness, horniness and no cuddling either. I'm frustrated...

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-03 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL!!!!

I feel your pain completely. Don't they understand that they hold the cure for crankycrampyhorniness? Unfeeling bastards....

[identity profile] ferdalump.livejournal.com 2007-08-03 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwwww.... poor snookums. :( I feel for ya for realz.

and hey, to bring a smile to your face, I just might have something to help you out with that horny issue before the weekend is up. ;) You have been a secret muse to me. *g*

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-03 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! *leans on your shoulder*

ooooo, I *love* being a secret muse!

And by the way, *icon droooool*

*hugs* Whenever I get cramps, I can still feel them even through the painkillers I take. Grr

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Awwwww, *hugspets* being a girl sucks sometimes!

[identity profile] myownghost.livejournal.com 2007-08-03 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
i was 53 or so when i up & stopped. what i hated was the mental woolliness that had me on the highway with suddenly no idea how to get where i was going. scary. i hope it wraps up for you soon.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
mental wooliness, eh? Been having that since my twenties...speaks the woman who went shopping with her shirt inside out and backwards.

[identity profile] katholicgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
Well, i had my last period when i was 53 aaand... 10 months. the last day i bled was the day my cat died. went out that day to buy more insulin needles for her and more pads for me, and none of thoser things ever got used. I miss having periods! i liked the drama.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
DRAMA!! I *HATE* teh drama--but mostly becasue I really reeeeally am a nutcase. I've almost deleted my lj like three times this past few days, I've almost wiped out all my wips, I've just managed to keep from screaming and yelling like a loon at my beloved family...and gosh, cranky at work? Woooo!
Say, you've been around a lot lately--coolness!

[identity profile] rosy5000.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Awwww... *hugs*

I've still got some time before I have to worry about that, but some months my period really beats me up. :( Those months, I'm a royal bitch for a week... ok, more of a royal bitch than I can be at other times. *grins* At least I'm nice enough to give my nephew fair warning to leave me alone because of my period.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
*sniff*
*hugs back*

I'm telling you, some days all you can do is warn folks off. *g*

Not to depress you further, but the hot flashes are no fun, either, and I've been living with them for ten months now....

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
I've been having cold flashes--what the eff is that about?

Ten months!!!!!! Holy shit--

[identity profile] jakrar.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I've had cold spells as well as hot flashes; if it's not one extreme, it's the other, with only occasional time spent at a comfortable temperature. And, from what I've heard, ten months may be only the tip of the iceberg. Supposedly, this can go on for years. *gnashes teeth*

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
*crabby *and* depressed now*

Oh, Roxy, I shouldn't laugh at this post, should I?
*g*
*hugs*
I should probably offer young studs in tonga to rub your feet and tend you refreshing drinks.
*offers*
;-)

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
omgosh, you should totally not be laughing at this post!!!!1111!!!

Except, now I'm even CRABBIER because your icon made me laugh!!! *poutpoutpout*

rub my feet hunh? Hmmm--I d'know, sounds pretty good...*G*

[identity profile] anitac588.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Rub your feet, feed you grapes or anything you might need to make you feel better, dear! That's what young studs in tonga were sent for, ;-)!!

[identity profile] droolfangrrl.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Rose will you please get your _PROGESTERONE_ levels checked!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_cycle

On or around day 22, this would be 22 days after the first day of your period, you need to have your levels checked.

You should have a PEAK of progesterone and I can't find out what the range of levels should be, sorry.

Anyhow, if it's low, there's your answer. If not, I'm sorry I don't know. But that's what my problem was, ok?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
okay! I will--Monday, I'm going to call my doc and we'll have a chat about all the various things kind of pooping out on me!

[identity profile] droolfangrrl.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Don't let the doc try and persuade you that you don't know what you want.

At your age you're perimenopausal, also fat cells produce estrogen. So the problem might not be that you need estrogen, but rather progesterone.

[identity profile] vegas-nolan.livejournal.com 2007-08-04 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry, honey. :( Stupid uteruses, not understanding what we want and then obeying.

Makes me glad I am due for some early menopause. Hot flashes and chin hair, woohoo!

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
*roxy be shaving her chin* What? Are you talking to me?

It's just so exhausting being barking nuts two weeks out of the month. :(

[identity profile] emeraldsedai.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
I ask myself the same damn question every month.

When I hear an answer, I'll post it, 'kay?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
LOL!! Please do! Someone needs to explain this!

[identity profile] kiramorningstar.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Ach! I thought I was done -- hadn't had a period since October 2006 -- and then it came back a couple of days ago. I heard this can go on for a few years. My great aunt thought she was going thru menopause but instead she wound up having a baby at 54! (I think I'd kill myself -- and my husband too)
