The Shallow Take on SV, natch....
Okay, Lana--there's a thin line between love and hate. Ya'll should settle this like normal folks--you, Clark and Lex in a sex sandwich. (It'll work I tell ya!) Boy, she really turned into a lying bitch heifer. Wow. I'm kind of impressed against my will.
Good interaction between Lex and Clark--Lex is playing it so cool that no matter what Clark says, he comes across as crazycakes. If you didn't know Lex and what he's done, you'd think he was being stalked by a crazy ex-boyfriend. And on the shallow side, they both looked incredible tonight. Lex, Lex...loved every second of you on the screen.
Here's the scary thing--I think I really like Jimmy Olsen. *slaps self* He's turning out to be the most decent person on the show. Chloe is too full of self pity--she's just too much the angst hoor, and I always thought she was a lot tougher than what they've got her doing here. I want her to have more backbone when it comes to herself. She's plucky girl reporter in any other circumstance until it applies to herself. Grrr.
Kara...okay. Wow. I kind of liked her prejudice. Sounds weird, I know, but it makes Kryptonians more real--and more frightening. Aren't we happy that Jonathan found Clark, and not Lionel? Don't you feel bad about all the bad things you said about Bo?
Thomas, Thomas, you've grown, you really have grown. That look when Knox was weeping bitter tears over the body of his beloved, oh my. You could see Clark feeling that loss over and over right down to his toes. It's one thing to know you're going to lose everyone you've ever loved--it's another thing to feel it in your bones. What a horrible prospect. That's why I find stories in which Clark slowly loses his mind as the centuries pass so believable.
So, me, I liked the ep lots. It was fun, I loved Dr. Knox, and his story. Dean Cain, my word. That man could still play Superman. Handsome as ever.
that's teh shallow report--now let's see what ya'll thought!
SO SORRY!!!

I really like Jimmy because he's the only one, as far as I can remember, who hasn't been a tool at one point or another. And I like him being good for Chloe. Well, until tonight.
She's plucky girl reporter in any other circumstance until it applies to herself.
You're absolutely right. She kicks ass until it becomes personal, and then she falls apart.
I just wished they'd actually have Clark address the living for centuries thing- I'm not sure why he isn't acting more freaked out.

Don't you feel bad about all the bad things you said about Bo?
Not a bit. I couldn't possibly say enough bad things about Bo.
As for the J'onn vs. Kara debate...isn't it interesting that J'onn seems to have targeted Kara's entire family, even though he himself claimed that it was her father alone who tried to assassinate Jor-El? Is that supposed to be legal on Krypton -- punishing not only the criminals themselves, but their entire families as well? I'm liking J'onn less and less all the time....

I think what most took me aback was that they gave us a shot of her looking at him looking at his computer -- and then she very deliberately and specifically trained the camera on his face again. Like, wouldn't she be watching what he pulls up on the computer screen if she's really just about getting incriminating information on him? It was really interesting, especially given the song choice.
And yeah, she lied right to Clark's face. Divorce settlement, my ass.

I love Clark, but I actually wanted to pop him one when he was all, "It makes me sick that I had to take a life to save yours," 'cause dude, DUDE. Lex didn't make him throw Knox 30 feet into an electrical fuse box. Clark's the one who can't come up with another way to disarm people. That's on his head, not Lex's.
Thomas, Thomas, you've grown, you really have grown. That look when Knox was weeping bitter tears over the body of his beloved, oh my. Yeah, he played that perfectly.
