Clark opened his mouth again, and Lex yanked a lock of hair. “Ow!”

Lex looked down on him in pity. “Don’t make me do that again. It hurts me more than it hurts you.”

By now, Clark was sure that Lex had lost his mind and he was very frightened to upset him. Lex had never been too predictable, but now, who know what he was capable of?
