advice, please....

Should I get the new Anita Blake? She's tiresome as fuck, but it's supposed to have Edward in it, and you know I love shiny Edward. I just don't want to have to sit through some more of Blake's oh woe is me, everything wants to get this bullshit.

Miss me? *G*

Laurell Hamilton's books are usually like a train wreck for me. I know it's bad. I know I should look away and yet I read them anyway. I haven't read the latest one though. A friend of mine reviewed it and she didn't like it. It did have less sex which she liked but it went high on the disturbing scale. I'm not sure why; she didn't elaborate.

She did say that Anita didn't have sex with Edward. The freaky bounty hunter guy from Butterfly is in in it. My friend said that Anita was kind of OOC in it but not in a good way.

I wouldn't bother with the Merry Gentry books if you're getting tired of Anita's Mary Sue-ishness. They're worse. The first two were good, then Merry becomes even MORE perfect than Anita.

I stopped reading her because it was just too much. I was only interested in this because of Edward, and that freakass Otto.

Those Gentry books? *pit-toooooii!* So much no!

LOL I would've read it if I didn't have a couple of tons of books waiting in my 'to read' box, but I couldn't justify ignoring the leaning tower of novels much longer.
