Sad :(

Teddy Pendergrass 1950-2010

Wow...I can't believe he's gone. His songs were definitely part of the soundtrack of my youth. That was the music playing on the cassette player in the background while we did our best to drown it out, you know.

Teddy and that sound he had, man, it was the shit back then. Rest in peace, brother.

Oh, I know, I know ;)

Just great soul music. I remembered when he got into his accident and you'd think it was a family friend who had been injured. His music just people come together. How can you not just share in songs like Love TKO?

I know what you mean. I remember my folks having his stuff on 8-track, and my dad's band used to cover "If You Don't Know Me By Now." Good stuff, babe. RIP Teddy.

Am playing "If You Don't Know Me By Now". His voice was a mixture of smooth and belligerent that was very sexy, wasn't it?

Sixty is young to be going.
