Thinking deep thoughts

I'm feeling small motivation to write down what's happening in my stories. I'm feeling not much drive to post them. Usually when I feel like that, I'll post my stuff at IJ or DW instead. It helps to jump-start things for me. Right now, it's not happening. I know I've said this before, but it's be so cool if yall could just come over one evening and I'll tell you what happens! Good, right? We could have sandwiches and lemonade and for desert cookies or ice-cream. We could sit around in my pepto bismol pink living room and I'd describe the endings of these stories so vividly, you'll feel like you're *in* them! Maybe I'd act bits out--or we could write bits on cards down and pass them and *you* could act it out. We could tear the story up and put it out of sequence and write new stories. Or make T-shirts. Nothing to do with the story, it just sounds like fun. Ah well. Such is life, my friends. Here I am, toiling in the far corner of the SpN vineyard, once again watching all my friends scamper off to enjoy the fruits of a brand new field (yeah, whatever).

Come back everyone!

Is it me?

I'm rambly because I'm a little bored. All the good kind of excitement in the last couple of days makes now seem a little less shiny. Though I am pathetically grateful to the point of groveling that for the moment, nothing stressful is happening.

I feel bad you guys just get stuff like this from me. Anything you'd like me to write about? I'll probably just point at you and laugh do my best to make it interesting! What?

I'm sorry you're not inspired, BB! You're one of my favorite writers - love your stories so much - although I'm way behind on your WIPs. :(

*BLUSH*

Oh my--thank you! Wow, thanks, what an incredible thing to say! I feel kind of embarrassed-tickled right now! Here, let's exchange that desert for dessert, and when you're over, *you* get the comfy spot on the couch! ;)

*waiting for more 'boys'. *GGG*

[identity profile] locknkey.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Trufax love - you are a talented lady!!! And, you are definitely on the list of fangirls I'd like to hang with. :)

\o/ comfy spot. :)

I think I'm gonna write these boys 'til I die - seriously so in love with them. :)

[identity profile] nataliadarimini.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Um, probably shouldn't invite me to your house, but getting together and having you make us act out your stories sounds like it would be awe. some. I would so do that all evening long.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
It could be a lot of fun! There could be crafts to help illustrate the stories! And fuzzy slippers for everyone!

[identity profile] squeakypiggy.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
Even though it's not fic updates, it's still nice to hear what's the up in Roxy's World. ^_^ Besides...what is fanfic besides a guided tour through the author's brain?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
LOL! Hey you! Ready to act out story bits? I warn you, there may also be charades involved! ;)

A guided tour through my brain requires flashlights and rope--we might get lost!

[identity profile] squeakypiggy.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Hehe I can just imagine you with the tour guide pill-box hat and a coil of rope with a maglight..."And over on that ledge you can see the rare Crack-fic-that-isn't... If we're quiet enough you can catch the echos of dialog. Remember, no flash photography, it can send some species of fic into Drama-Queen mode, which can cause a herd of Drama-Drag-Races. And we all know that drag races are illegal for a reason."

[identity profile] squeakypiggy.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
It'd be episodes of "Roxymissrose...Fic Hunter!"

[identity profile] rednihilist.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, Lord, we really do have to do that some day. No, for reals. I'm still planning on coming out there. You know that, right? I am not giving up on stalking you, hon, not by a long shot. :)

once again watching all my friends scamper off to enjoy the fruits of a brand new field

Well, I don't know about other folks 'round here, but I'm still in your field, babe. I mean, I've brought a few new toys for us to play with, but I'm not leaving any time soon. And. . . you don't have to play with these toys if you don't want to. We can stick with the classics. I just like pretty, and these new fandoms I'm lurking in have lots of pretty, m'dear. For reals. *nods*

You're still my gal, rox! *snuggles you* Don't feel sad. And when you do answer the door and it's me on the other side, I am totally gonna demand my sandwiches and lemonade and my story-time. *crosses arms over chest* So there.

*GLOMPS*

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
I've got a bedroom ready for you, with pretty pics and books to read and I'll make you stay up all night telling me stories...wait, that's fun for me, not for you! I'm still working on this hostess thing. *G*

I know I shouldn't worry so much when folks play with the shiny new toys but you know me, I'm as slow to change as glaciers move, and everyone around me is so nimble and quick!

When you show up on my doorstep, there will be samiches and lemonade and no hiking through deserts, we'll just have dessert!

My child expressed HORROR that I got that wrong. Tchah! The Fam! They're so judgy!! :)

[identity profile] rosy5000.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Ok... I've even sit through an Spn fic if you're acting it out. lol ;)

I feel bad you guys just get stuff like this from me.

Nah, don't apologize... these are some of the best posts to read. They always make me giggle. :D *hugs* ♥

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Heeee! Y'all are so patient! :)

Ok... I've even sit through an Spn fic if you're acting it out.

I'll wear the leather jacket and wave a shotgun around and fling salt about--it will be very inspiring, lol! Wait until you hear me doing the Dean voice...*G*

[identity profile] xinsidemyskinx.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 10:54 am (UTC)(link)
Could we call it Roxy's story time? heh. I call dibs on any beanbags that may be available.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-09-18 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
LOL! Yes, we will call it that, and I'd make sure there were beanbags just for you

[identity profile] lexalicious70.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Your invitation sounds awesome, I'll be right over! Want me to bring some booze? :D

It's frustrating when you don't have the motivation to write or that you're meh about posting. *HUGSHUGS*

What would I like to see you write? A steamy Wellingbaum, perhaps?

[identity profile] tasabian.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] tasabian.livejournal.com 2010-09-17 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry you're a little bored...maybe when your shows come back, your writing muse will as well?

Happy belated birthday to Mr. R!

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-09-18 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
*sigh*

Hope so!

And thanks, I'll pass that wish on! :)

So I made up this fictional television show, as you know, and I would really like to include in the story of the actors some fangirl reaction. You wanna fangirl a fake show with me?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2010-09-18 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
okay! um....how do I do that? *g*

[identity profile] justabi.livejournal.com 2010-09-18 02:05 am (UTC)(link)

Since you ask, if you're familiar with Castle and The Sentinel, you could write a story about two guys with a way with words, OTT redheaded moms, and no idea who their fathers are fighting crime. :)

Alas, I am a one-trick pony. :(

Also, I've never read any Sentinel, though I have seen a few episodes on the TV and it was abundantly plain--it was as slashable as a thing could possibly be.
