I was *completely* swamped by a wave of weepy nostalgia--I really cried. And girl, I had to whip out the fan--that boy looked Guuuuuuuuud!

That was truly a *beautiful* shot--SV has always been beautiful to look at but that--damn!!!

Oh my god! I bawled my eyes out! Several different times!! I got LEX and CLARK = Clex and sooo much happiness. I called the final shot. I'm very happy!! GOD Lex looked amazing and wonderful and I need to watch it again!

Lex did look wonderful, and made me so happy! Michael gets what we want from them--Clex, Clex and more Clex. And then, Clark *flies* and I'm crying like a crying thing. Good job, Show, it was worth it for that one last scene alone!

I was going to bed its 3.35am but no!!! Lex called to me and I had to peak and I watched it online.... Damn!! Few things I am not happy with but Michael looked damn good. And the Clex....*sigh*

Nice to know I am not the onlyone who go a little teary... I posted a behind the scenes video earlier tonigh on my LJ. It was the filming of the final scene between the boys, and as they cut the shot Michael yelled that was the last Clark Lex scene ever, then they hugged....

Damn I got all upset at that never mind the actual episode.

I'm really not reading the comments here, but I just wanted to ask, as someone who stopped watching YEARS ago, is it worth it watching the last 5 or so episodes, or do I really need to go back and watch more?

Honestly hon, you can just watch the last few eps and just be fine. There are a few eps here and there that are huge fun to watch, and Thomas is always good to look at, but speaking as a person who'd frequently get lost watching the show, it's not going to confuse you loads. Go! Watch the pretty, enjoy, don't puzzle over it too much. :)

That Clark/Lex scene was worth any amount of waiting for.

I think--it was the best way it could have ended. It did that in typical SV fashion, half "What??" and half "Hokey smokes--that was amazing!"

The Lex scenes left me torn, delighted to see Lex and Clark together again, but unhappy that they didn't at least call an official truce in the face of Darkseid's invasion -- and I HATED Lex's memories being erased by Tess! That poor man has had so many memories torn away from him, and always by family members. *growls at the other Luthors* As for the rest of the episode...you mean there were scenes Lex wasn't in?

One thing hit me after the finale was over. In the final section, set seven years into the future, they had news reports of Lex Luthor being elected President. But seven years from now is 2018 -- and that's NOT a Presidential election year. So Lex has apparently revamped the entire U.S. electoral process just to get into the White House two years earlier. Oh, Smallville....

Ah, Smallville, thank you for making me feel like a fount of research...LOL!
