Hah!
I have now posted my new story *everywhere*!! Wherever you know me, you can not avoid it! It's now at AO3, and my DW where it looks very nice. :) Come on, you know you want to read it--*shameless self pimp* It's a darling story about two boys out in the cold, cold world, and how they overcome hardship together...sort of. It's me, there's going to be assex eventually. *blushes modestly* I do what I can....
I'm posting it in a series of books, instead of one long shot, and so far I only have the beginning done--though the first book will read as a finished story. It will eventually end up a gangster-style story. It's very very loosely based on a James Cagney film, Public Enemy. I *loved* Cagney when I was a kid--he was so cool and totally not a role model.
Here, have a bit. It's a little dated, of course--1930s--but I think it shows the flavor I'm trying to get across in the fic
